They are made from a new aluminium alloy which is now 20% lighter than the 5 series while being even stronger, and they wont corrode, even after years of abuse thanks to the new tougher coatings and more durable alloy. And don't worry if you have existing Rhino platform accessories, the new 6 series fits all previous accessories so there's still a myriad of options available, from jerry can holders to bike carriers so they're still super versatile. With the 6 series Rhino have put a huge amount of work into improving aerodynamics, which is visibly apparent in the new design and has been wind tunnel tested and honed to reduce drag by 60% over the 5 series, this is a huge improvement in our eyes, and will translate to better fuel economy and less wind noise. They also feature removable wind fairing inserts that further reduce drag. They have also done away with channel apertures so that you can use the full length of all channels for mounting accessories using their Zwifloc channel nuts. The new Pioneer now has east-west orientated mounting channels too, so together with the elimination of apertures the new 6 series provides 25% more useable channels over the 5 series. All extrusions have integrated wiring capabilities giving you endless options for mounting your led lights or antennas.
