Mushroom mulch is and has been excellent for blending with my veggie patch soils. I have also used it in other garden beds where the plants also thrive on the mix. I will be using more bags of this mixture when I add 2 more veggie garden beds to my other 5. Excellent compost which I can happily recommend to others.

I have added a layer of mushroom into my pots on the balcony and have had a wonderful crop of tomatoe,basil, along with other vegetables this summer. The cherry tomatoes have reseeded and are growing strong, along with kale, peppers, brocolli and lettuce. The mushroom mulch has been a wonderful addition. I highly recommend.

Gave it 3 stars because I find huge rocks in them which destroys trust between consumer and Richgro. Other than that, the quality is good, it's not the best but it's affordable if you're doing a big project.

My NEIGHBOUR has introduced me to this product and im so glad she did. I have nothing negative to say about this compost.. it’s not only good for the veggie garden but it works wonders with flower garden plants and garden beds… it’s helped growth and nutrition old soil and helped my plants blossom… I have been using this for three years now and I have looked back since…
Brought this yesterday so disappointed. The compost has changed has more sand than anything and could not see any bulky mushroom compost, absolute no straw in mix like normal. Wouldn't recommend. Not buying again!
As affordable as, or even cheaper than, manure-based composts. Yet it will contain some manure in the form of chicken litter/horse bedding. Really great to be able to recycle and reuse the base ingredients for so many purposes.Improves drainage and texture of basic garden soil. Definitely note an improvement in veggie soil. Main con is that you will definitely have to screen this as it retains moisture, so compacts into clods in the bag.Did also get a big hunk of thick plastic in the last bag though. Better than those small bits but am posting for full details. Would still repurchase in the future.
Seems to be luck of the drawn, I ended up with about 30% wood and some of that were big chunks. Not many stones but a few. I'd get 16-18L of decent stuff after sifting, but such a pain to do that. At least no plastics or metal in what I got, so better than some other offerings...
I purchased this for growing veggies along with some other soils to mix it with and this stuff sucked, I was breaking apart solid lumps of mushroom compost for hours not to mention once I've done a pH test on it it's up around 9.5 overall this product is pretty bad and I will have to spend hours upon hours and more money to break up the lumps and amend the Ph of this soil. Very disappointed.
I’ve bought other brands of mushroom compost before and they are far superior. This has massive wood chip pieces through it and stunk of chemicals. I would not buy it again.
The Ph is 10! That means it is too alkaline to use ANYWHERE in your garden. I written to Richgro and have had very poor response from them. This product is dangerous for your garden,
