This is the only way to mount the 21mm (equivalent) lens converter to the Ricoh GR III. It is effective, but doesn't seem as secure as the older version for the GR and GR II; there seems to be a bit of play, though it doesn't appear to affect image sharpness. Over-priced for what it is, but nothing else will do the job.

It is worth getting so you can use polarizer and nd filters with the 49m thread. The better use is to attach the wide angle converter lens. This functions perfectly, it just feels a bit cheaply made. Nicer materials or a lower price would make this 5 stars

Bought this more to protect theLens error condition common on expanding lens. Fits but not airtight, slight opening around apapter. 49mm filter fits well and I will use it for now. Doubles the width of the camers
Good Points: Lightweight, easy to fit: allows fitting of a 49mm screw in filter, lens hood, or even a square filter system with a 49mm adaptor. I keep mine permently fitted on to the camera with a skylight filter attached, to keep dust out of the Ricoh GR III's retracting lens mechanism.Improvement Points: Destroys the ultra-flat profile that most purchasers buy a GR III for; with it fitted, the camera won't fit in a jeans or shirt pocket but still fits into a small jacket pocket. Nothing to be done about that, it's a feature of the device. I got this adapter to be able to use round filters with the GR III, mainly for landscapes (ND and polarizer). I can also use a clear filter for extra dust protection when needed.All in all it works and it fits snugly with a positive click, distinct from the soft click of the protector ring. The filter threads are smooth. It even comes with a rear cap, I am guessing for use with the wide angle adapter.The only downside is that it is expensive for what it is
this adapter works flawlessly with your ricoh gr iii and allows it to use 49 mm filters of any brand that you like, it is a must have for your ricoh gr iii camera.
The adapter (a connecting tube, really) does its job, but as others pointed out, it is expensive for a piece of plastic with passive connectors. In terms of craftsmanship and substantial feeling, it is nowhere near some of the all-metal third party SLR to mirrorless adapters. Furthermore, in the fully locked position it has a surprising amount of play, enough to be unnerving given the heft of the wide angle lens and the front-heavy weight distribution of the complete assembly. For an OEM product, the overall integration is poor.
