I love the colors! It’s iridescent, not holographic as the name suggests. I purchased the blue one and both ends are great color-wise. Unfortunately it’s very very dry and takes a lot of pressure and “scratching” to get the color on your skin. I bought mine at target and the display looked new, so I feel as though it’s more likely to be the formula itself and not a fluke dried out product. I have loved all my previous Rimmel brand eyeliner pencils both traditional sharpening ones and retractable, but this one was a miss for me because of that. The navy is so dark it’s almost black, which I don’t mind. I just wish it were creamier on both sides. It basically just removed all my eyeshadow and scratched me where I attempted to apply it on my upper lids.

I like the concept of this eye liner, however the execution and quality of the product is lacking. Because there's so many pigmented and long-lasting eyeliners nowadays, including ones from the drugstore, once you use one that is lacking in pigment, doesn't stay on your eyes very long ... why would you want to continue using it :(The black eyeliner can become pigmented if you go over it a few times. My problem is that when I follow the instructions on how to use this liner:Step 1: Line with Wonder Ombre's bold shadeStep 2: Flip eyeliner and trace over the dark shade with holographic tip to create your own ombre look. When trying to "ombre" the look, the gold kinda erases the black's pigment due to your actual action of drawing the gold with the black. Does that make sense? Essentially you're like rubbing off the black pigment because of the pressure of the pencil.Even when I didn't try to layer or pair the gold and black color together, they easily rubbed off :(Sorry Rimmel London Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliner ! You didn't work for me.I received this product for free from Influenster and Rimmel for reviewing purposes. All opinions are entirely my own !

For someone who hasn’t worn eyeliner since college and then wearing it again for the first time in 2 years post college, I was amazed at what a difference a winged out look gave to me! I received this as a complimentary for a review but I’m going to be 100 though. This dual ended design is efficient because its one less product I would have to reach for. Except I didn’t like how I would have to sharpen it. It ok, nbd! I think the gold is really pretty and it glows! I have not used it as an ombré liner yet but I have been using the gold as an all over eye lid color or inner corner brightner it looks amazzzzing! As for the black eyeliner part, I don’t find it budgeproof, but this could be because I have super oily eyelids that the only black eyeliner to ever work for ... MoreFor someone who hasn’t worn eyeliner since college and then wearing it again for the first time in 2 years post college, I was amazed at what a difference a winged out look gave to me! But I’m def gonna try and use the black liner a few more times and with setting powder this time bc he liner is suuuuuper creamy!

This eyeliner idea is cool especially if you love bright, colorful looks. However, I found that while the Eyeliner applies smoothly and beautifully to the back of my hand, getting it to glide onto my eyelids was another story. I'm also not the best with making a wing using a pencil eyeliner, so I found that I had to incorporate my own liquid liner if I wanted a winged out look with this product.Another issue is that putting the colored end over the dark shade ended up looking slightly different on each eye. I think it is because the gold end picked up some of the darker shade I traced on the first eye and so the result was slightly different on the second eye.Overall, I think if you enjoy pencil liners and can get them to work for you, this might be a good ... MoreThis eyeliner idea is cool especially if you love bright, colorful looks. But for me personally and my product preferences, it wasn't the best fit. I do really like the gold shade and wearing it on its own has worked better for me.I received this product free in exchange for my honest review.

I got this as a sample from Elle Inner Circle. The product I got was the Wonder Ombre Holographic Eyeliner in the shade 003 Purple Prism. This is a dark purple with reddish undertones. My first thoughts when I received this product, before I used it on my eyes, were it’s a beautiful color. It’s a very interesting product because I don’t think that other makeup brands have done this. Not really sure if it will work like it is supposed to. I was very skeptical about this product. But the instructions to how to use was very easy and simple. The instructions say to first line half of your eye with the dark color. Then line the other half with the “holographic” side. But the instructions to how to use was very easy and simple. The instructions say to first line half of your eye with the dark color. Then line the other half with the “holographic” side. Lastly use your ring finger or a small (like eyeliner brush small) blending brush to mix the two together to get the “holographic” purple look. When I swatched it on the back of my hand the first thing I noticed was that the dark color looked more like a black than purple. The supposed “holographic” side isn’t holographic it’s more of a silver-pink chromatic pearlized finish. When I did the instructions, line half with the dark colo and the other half with the holographic side, I tried to blend it with my finger and that didn’t really do anything. When I blended it with a small eye brush it worked perfectly.I applied it to my eyelid and followed the instructions, using both a finger and the brush, it blended completely out, faded and didn’t even look like it was supposed to. You couldn’t tell that I had eyeliner on. I found the only way it would work is to line the whole lid with the dark side and go over it with the holographic side.I think that Rimmel needs to rethink this eyeliner or change the instructions for it to work like they say it does and also make lighter colors so it actually shows up as the colors name and not almost black. When you first open it take both side and put some of it on your hand because it’s a bit hard to get it to show up on first go. I give it 3 out of 5 stars since it is a new type of eyeliner and it does what it says, but it’s not how the instruction say it will work. I also don’t like that it shows up more black even when you put the holographic side on.

Super cool eyeliner
8 May 2023

This eyeliner is super cool and actually works. I have the Galactic Green. One side is dark green and the other is pale, almost white. Once you apply the white over the dark green, it transforms to a bright, iridescent green eyeliner. It is like purchasing three eyeliners in one. Of course, it is a pencil which means you need to sharpen it regularly to get a fine line, but it fits in a regular pencil sharpener. This eyeliner is long wearing and does not flake or smudge with long wear. It is also great for day to night looks. You can apply the dark green for daytime and then add the holographic side to brighten up your look and take your eye makeup from day to night in seconds flat!
