Rimmel Multi TASKER Better Than Filters 001 Fair

As someone who prefers a lightweight, minimalist approach to makeup, this multitasker delivers on its promise of a natural, radiant glow that I absolutely love. So I was curious to see how primers had changed over the years. The Rimmel Better than Filters looks like a foundation at first glance. The longevity was impressive. The real test was when I had to work a long evening shift. I got caught in a heavy downpour that night, but when I looked in the mirror later, my makeup was intact! Although it looks pretty and improves the longevity of foundation, I probably wouldn’t repurchase it. It is not the best primer I’ve ever used, and not essential to my routine. I would prefer to manually apply a highlighter to specific areas and set with a good setting spray.

Surprisingly, my usual light foundation blended out beautifully on top and dulled down a bit of the highlight effect. Yes. On top of that I then added a light dusting of anti redness powder cause I always have red parts to my skin. I can confirm that my makeup stayed in place all day! Better than ever actually 😂🙈 I couldn’t feel any oil at all coming though my makeup. Now. Did I feel like it gave me too much of a highlight, yes in places it did. Did I feel like I couldn’t add concealer as well, yes. I felt like adding concealer after adding an eye cream, face cream, this new primer/highlighter, my usual foundation and powder, would cause my skin to either revolt or look cakey. But I do feel like in some areas I need a bit more coverage as the redness shows through. So I’ll try introducing small amounts of concealer to see how we go. Overall I’m impressed! As someone who was a bit sceptical, I’ve been converted and I think this will be a daily part of my routine from now on.

The Rimmel Multi-Tasker Better Than Glow is a really nice product that gives a natural glow on top of and underneath makeup. It gives a natural, almost wet looking shine when used as a highlighter on top of makeup, and a lit from within glow when used underneath foundation or concealer (which is my favourite way to use it). The applicator on the Rimmel Multi-Tasker is bigger than the Charlotte Tilbury one and dispenses a lot more product, but it is a light/sheer coverage so it doesn’t look cakey at all (unless your skin is not properly moisturised). Overall this is a very good product, especially for the price. I would recommend this product 4/5.

It has the same bottle as the Rimmel foundation products but the cap is a bronze colour making it stand out.The doe-foot applicator is large and spongy and perfect for popping either straight onto the fact or for popping onto the back of your hand prior to applying to the face.This product can be used as a glowy primer, underneath your foundation, mixed in with your foundation for a radiant finish, a highlighter on top of your base makeup or as a stand alone product for a healthy glow.I’ve tried this as a stand alone product to provide a healthy glow and I really enjoyed the product used in this way. Insane dewy sheen

It's not often you get a multi use makeup product, all in 1. This was advertised as the 3 in 1 skin primer, glow booster, and highlighter which I thought made it a very versatile beauty staple. I've recently not been using dewy products/ highlighters so I was keen to give this a go...It came in a clear glass bottle (seems high end) and my colour seemed to match. Upon using it, it was a very lightweight feel and not the typical cakey look you get sometimes. With summer approaching, I want more of a skin tint look and this is definitely one to be using to achieve that! It instantly hid my hyperpigmentation and dark spots. I have firstly used this on it's own and this was when it was at its peak. I then proceeded to mix with my liquid foundation and it was okay too - but definitely a product that is best to use by itself as it has the optimum sheen / glow you look for in summer. The somewhat natural sun-kissed look.As opposed to a pump bottle, it came with a wand so it was really easy to apply - very precise too and not needing any additional tools. The wand enabled the product to blend well as I didnt use too much. It allowed the liquid to be dispensed evenly on both sides. In terms of longetivity, it lasted all day! I didn't have to top up whatsoever. In addition, the bonus of the Vitamin E was something to be excited about.I intend to take this on my summer holidays to see how it fares with a tan......

The dewiest glow

I absolutely love this product! I was concerned it would look heavy and cakey but…It’s lightweight on my face / skin, it gives the dewiest glowing glow posdible without looking like a face of glitter. I’m seriously impressed and really pleased. My other concern was colour, I’m very fair and didn’t want it to make me look like gold tinfoil! I did a tan and applied a tiny amount (which is all you need) and I was so surprised. Yes it’s glittery, but it’s a very subtle glittery shimmer creating a flawless dewy glow.I’d say it’s definitely perfect for holiday when you don’t want foundation but want abit of coverage and that “glow”.I’d definitely go up a shade if you wear fake tan but stick to your normal or lighter shade if you don’t tan, so you get a natural look.The ... MoreI absolutely love this product! The perfect all in one primer, highlighter and glow boost!

I was lucky to receive the Rimmel London Multi Tasker Better Than Filters Primer/Base Tint and mine is in the shade 005 Medium and I have Tan skin so this was the perfect shade for me.The bottle is glass which I love, it just feels more luxurious on my dressing table.The applicator wand is similar (slightly bigger) to the charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood flawless filter and I actually think this is a lovely, more affordable dupe.I feel this is best applied/ blended out with your fingers as I felt the brush and sponge soaked most of it up. My fingers warmed up the product and blended it out perfectly onto my skin.
