For a comfortable, long-wearing, easy-to-apply nail polish from a trusted brand, the Rimmel London Super Gel series sit at a lower price point than major nail titans OPI and Essie, but doesn't lose out on quality. Another favourite is #32 Cocktail Passion - a delightful pinky coral shade reminiscent of peach sorbet, perfect for Summer days.\n\nThis range is designed to be used in conjunction with the Rimmel London Super Gel Top Coat for a salon-style gel finish without the time, money and UV light you'd normally require for maximum shine. You can do this in the comfort of your home - two light coats and a thin layer of top coat should be done and dried in one episode of Seinfeld, and it'll look just as good as a trip to the salon (provided you don't laugh too hard and ruin your application). Alternatively, I like to use Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat instead of the Gel Top Coat to achieve a matte finish on my nail polish. Both top coats apply easily, dry fairly quickly, and help increase the longevity of your polish. By itself, I'd estimate the nail polish to last up to two weeks without major chips, but that obviously depends on your lifestyle. For me, it has varied between three days to three weeks. \n\nOverall, I would definitely recommend this range to all nail enthusiasts out there. It's a great quality product for a reasonable price, I only wish there were more unique shades I can add to my growing collection. \n

Let me begin this review with saying that I don't wear nail polish normally. The reason? I am pants-on-head stupid when it comes to applying it and it always wears off within hours. I am hard on my nails and have never bothered with them. Manicures last me a day if I'm lucky. My nails look like a little kid's. So...I tried this on in the store just for fun and was blown away. It looks SO smooth, like it was professionally applied, and three days later, not a chip in sight. It dries in seconds. I did try it and used it yesterday, I will admit i am hopeless at nail varnish, and with that in mind i read the instructions on the Rimmel website carefully. I applied 2 thin coats, let them dry in between, and then applied the topcoat. It covered well, nice gloss, and it took one hour from start for me to be able to do anything (hair washing, sewing etc) that would normally ruin soft nail polish, and this polish was as hard as nails.I am not sure whether the people who had issues with it drying applied too thick a layer ( I used a thin layer as instructed) and I cannot yet comment on durability ( I will update after a week) but wanted to post that so far, all was great and I am ... MoreI really didn't know whether to try this as the reviews are all either 1s or 5s. I will be intrigued to see how it comes off as, as an ex gel polish user, the reason I stopped having it done was the damage to my nails, and normal polish seems to chip the second I look at it. Here's hoping it will last a week.

Amazing nail polish
21 October 2020

I have tried this super gel polish in shade rock n roll. It is a beautiful blue toned red. The polish applies evenly and has a great coverage. I found it incredibly easy to apply as the brush it comes with is soft and wide and covers a wide portion of the nail and the polish layers amazingly and smoothly. The bottle itself is very sturdy simple and cute. The polish does not chip easily and is quite resistant to scratching and pressure. It dried quickly, preventing it to smudge accidentally which made the application process even more pleasant. The polish was removed easily using acetone based and acetone free nail polish removers with minimal to no damage to my nails or cuticle. I would love to try this polish in different colours. I highly recommend everyone to try it.

An excellent purchase
17 March 2023

I have used this product for many years & find it suits my nails perfectly, the colour too is a soft warm pink which has drawn many a compliment from several ladies. I also think the shape of the brush is an excellent idea as it helps enormously when painting my nails, thought went into the design. I intend to continue using this & purchasing it from this seller who gives a quick & efficient service.

Super easy to apply, dries fairly quickly, no long waiting & still getting sticky polish damaged.I work in a garden centre, after 4 days still no chips! It had cracked from the nail bending but unnoticeable unless looking close & even with the fine cracks, no chipping.Looking forward to more colours now, super happy

I love this shade. A classic bright red! It's absolutely perfect for summer, I popped it on my toes because I'm a long time lover of gel nails for my hands, however, this has me in love. The formula is easy to apply and dries pretty quickly, I didn't think it was particularly shiny until I applied the top coat so it is definitely worth the two step process. The brushes are quite wide meaning it's easier to get a flawless finish. It promises 14 days wear and I'd say 10 is probably more achievable. It says to apply 2 coats of colour which I did but honestly the opacity of one coat is outstanding as it is. I can't wait to get my hands on moreColours!Overall I am impressed and it definitely lasts longer than your average nail varnish. I love the colour and I'm pretty ... MoreI love this shade. I give 4 out of 5 because it doesn't quite last as long as promised despite application being super easy. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to professional manicures be summer ready, what are you waiting for! Go and get it!

Great consistency
5 May 2022

I love how smoothly and with control I was able to apply the polish. I got a really nice even finish. Often other brands have a much runnier consistency that spills over and is difficult to control but this Rimmel product is fantastic. I prefer a more pastel shade though and I think it would look fab!

As a fine art student my nails take a lot of wear and tear when I am creating, so I was interested to see how this polish would hold up against the stresses of my work. I really liked the shape of the brush, which covered my nails easily in two strokes and was also flattened to sweep away any excess, giving great even coverage with no blobs or gaps. Not really a pink person myself, I opted for Flamenco Beach, which turned out to be a very vibrant cover which was almost opaque after a single coat however I added another just to be sure. This layer took a while to dry and as is typical for me I ruined atleast one of the nails at this stage and had to repaint, however once these layers hardened they were very durable and I went a couple of hours before applying the ... MoreAs a fine art student my nails take a lot of wear and tear when I am creating, so I was interested to see how this polish would hold up against the stresses of my work. They do definitely have a gel - like finish, not a million miles away from salon level. The real test will come over the next few days however to determine whether they withstand a busy lifestyle! Having had a shower this morning a day later the very tips of the colour are starting to wear slightly, exposing a thin white halo at the tops of some of my nails, but apart from that it is still going strong!

WORST NAIL POLISH EVER!!!!
11 September 2020

So... the Colour (Soul Session 012) pretty from the bottle; although 4 coats was needed to get said colour. The brush bristles are so thick it left streak marks in every other nail, unless it was loaded with the varnish whereas drying was tripled. 7 out of 10 nails were smudged after 30 minutes of application. I didn’t purchase the top coat at this point I wish I had; however reading other reviews about the top coat I’m really glad I didn’t! I can’t bare the fact that Rimmel are actually a well known, well named established company however missed out the curing process of a varnish. Disastrous and disappointing. Please don’t waste your time.
