We bought one of these back in 2008 at a similar price. Got some great mileage out of it. Heats up a room more quickly than any other heater I’ve used. Unfortunately it’s just given up the ghost but looking st purchasing another one
We had exactly the same heater for 11 years. Unfortunately, like most machines these days, something eventually needed fixing, so we decided to go for a new one.No complaints. Our lounge room is about 52 cu.m (3.5m x 5m and has 3m high ceilings). The heater warms up the room quite quickly, but to be honest if your room is much larger than this, you might need to get a stronger heater.You can choose the temperature and click on the "Economy" button. When the room reaches the temperature it slows down and keeps it at that temperature. Or you can just leave it on full blast if you wish.It's very important though to run the vacuum cleaner over the rear filters at least once a week in the winter to remove the dust, otherwise there could be problems.Overall, we are ... This is a great heater for our space, which is actually larger than the recommended area for this particular heater, but it performs really well. Creates a much nicer type of heat than our reverse cycle heater, doesn't feel as suffocating. It's also much quieter than a reverse cycle as well. The white colour blends in well with our home too. We also have a loft which comes off our living room, yet despite the fact that some of the heat inevitably disappears up the loft stairs, it still does a great job, very happy.
We've been using this heater for about a month and I must say we're delighted with it! It starts straight away (just a push of a button!) and delivers a powerful blast of hot air across the room instantaneously. Always surprised by its power considering how small it is. I originally thought it was a tiny bit expensive, but in hindsight it has been a great investment! Money well spent!
Best features are fast heating with economy function. Compact as well. Highly recommended.
Had an older Rinnai which served for many years. The new model is so much easier to operate and more suited to us. Glad we updated.
This is my first gas heater so I don't have anything to actually compare to but it's largely a disapointment. The warmth is not flowing around the room space as well as I thought it would but it can be too warm just near the unit. The temperature setting is confusing - I think I'm setting a target temp but the unit always runs hotter.
