Overall very satisfied with air-conditioner itself blows nice cold air. Portable air conditioners are louder than split systems so you need reasonable expectations and this one isnt too bad and consistent so you can tune out of it once you become use to it running. Window kit lets a well made air conditioner unit down dramatically as its flimsy and too short for a basic aluminium sliding window. The width of supplied window insert was too narrow so part of the venting hole was covered by window aluminium edge causing heat build-up on the window sill and venting tube and melting the plastic kit fascia supplied. I needed to use a heat gun to flatten it out again so the tubing would stay fastened. Once I got creative and positioned the window vent without obstruction it all started to work well and even lower the operating noise.

Overall we are happy with the unit except for the window fitting. It is made from pvc and the heat from the exhaust softens the material and distorts the plastic so much that the exhaust attachment falls out.And it ony comes in one size. Some windows are much larger and the fitting is too short.Maybe this can be looked at, it is extremely annoying

So long as you keep your expectations in check and don't expect it to chill your entire living room on a 40 degree day you'll find the product is worth it. It sufficiently dehumidifies and cools my roughly 3.5x3.5x2.7high bedroom (in South East QLD) in about 20mins before bed time but with a bit longer I'm sure it could chill a larger area/volume (within reason).Pros pretty easy set up and chills the bedroom sufficiently.Cons is a bit noisy - it'd be a bit hard to sleep through but not impossible with a bit of getting used to. Overall I'm glad with the purchase (no longer have to lay in a pool of sweat as I fall asleep in summer now) and would recommend if you weren't in a position to install a proper AC system (i.e. if you're renting). As an aside, you basically need/it helps to have the ability to position it within 1500mm of both a GPO and either an awning or sliding window with a minimum opening of 500mm so you can set it up properly, noting that the power cord is only about 2m long (and isn't meant to be plugged into an adapter), the duct only stretches to about 1500mm and the window adapter kit suits window openings between 500-1000mm long/wide (unless you get a saw and cut it down like I did to suit my 300mm wide awning window).

The price was good.I can't figure why if you put on a specific setting it does anyway go auto. Very strange. The energy ratings were not on the demo in store. They are terrible. Also don't expect silent. It covers the noise of the white noise machine from the baby at volume max.It does a great job at cooling though, explaining my 4/5
Unit cools a small room relatively well. Very noisy, and has some occasional rattles which seem to be resolved by power cycling. The window kit is too short (or missing pieces) for a standard sized window, the plastic deforms from the heat passing through the extraction hose, and the provided hose is barely long enough to reach a waist high window. Works fine as a temporary solution, but you may need to find additional parts to sort out the extraction pipe.
I’ve had the unit for 2 months. It blows cold air straight away and cools well for a bedroom. This thing is pretty loud, I’ve had a few other brands in the bedroom, and this is the loudest especially when the compressor kicks in it wakes me up often. It has been making a whooshing noise from the fan that I haven’t been able to diagnose on the internet, I may end up returning it as the sound is too loud to sleep through and I’m a heavy sleeper.
Was previously running a 3.5kw 10yr old Kelvinator ( KPK35CRA) in a medium sized room with full afternoon sun. Had to sit in front of it to stay cool. This 4.1kw cools the room quicker and more evenly. A lot more quiet and compact sizing. Why I did not upgrade earlier, I must be stubborn.Delivery and installation quick and simple. ( I purchased this AFTER the 40 degree heatwaves in Perth. WA). Amen.
Im glad a review option has been sent, so I can prewarn consumers to save their money. Do not buy this product. It is nice and cool for up to 10 cm near the appliance, a fan cools room better. All it does is consume.powet, emit copious amounr of condensation and the petty exhaust tube supplied is unable to reach an outlet aperture in home with ridicilously short length. Disregard 1 star, these raring never provide option for less.
For product cost about $1000 . I don't think it's worst it . Not really cool down . And when start cooling, because really noisy. And only last couple mins . Then back to normal wind . It's like a fan .if you do choose this air con . Must use with couple fans as well . Then can get little bit cool air .
Good looking machine and gets very cold but way to noisy for a bedroom once hooked up with ducting and left to run longer than half an hour. I returned this unit to the store as it was way to noisy for intended purposes of using whilst sleeping at night. In the store they run pretty quietly but this is not the case in a bedroom when installed with exhaust and moisture drip pipe. Store was reluctant to take back machine as well for refund. Took an hour long argument which in the end was swooped out in exchange for another appliance.
