I have been thinking about buying a cart to move my drums for my music gigs for years, but never wanted to spend the money. Now, at sixty-four years old, my drum equipment was feeling heavier and heavier. I finally broke down and decided I would have to get a cart if I was going to continue playing gigs. The mid-sized Rock and Roller cart was the answer. It is plenty strong, good quality, and folds down to easily fit in my vehicle along with my drums. Now, I can fit my entire drum kit on the cart and move them with ease. I spent a lot of time looking at carts before deciding on the Rock and Roller. This cart is way better than any other cart on the market, and Hayneedle made it so easy to order and have delivered. Wish I would have purchased one years ago.

This is a nice, versatile cart. I needed something with a few different configurations that would also provide a horizontal surface (to use during tethered capture). I looked at a bunch of different carts and ended up getting this one mostly because of the price point, weight and versatility. I've used it on a few shoots so far and have really liked it. I can throw all my cases, bags and stands on there and secure them with a ratchet strap and a bungee cord. I pushed / pulled it around 10 blocks with about 150lbs of gear and it held up great. I am a little concerned about the small wheels and slightly flimsy build. I'm used to using Magliners which I've found to be really sturdy. But as I mentioned above, three shoots and no complaints / regrets whatsoever. Bottom ... MoreThis is a nice, versatile cart. For many years I used a two wheeler that converted to a 4 wheel cart but, the capacity that it held doesn't even come close to this cart. Should have had one of these a long time ago. I used this for the first time last week at a gig and, in one trip just about got everything that I carry on this cart. Two trips took care of everything. Before this it took several trips and, the capacity of my old cart couldn't even come close to this Rock N Roller! Rolls very smooth and, steering is Great, even the locking wheels came in handy. I love the way it folds down into a small compact package, will fit in with the rest of the gear while before the other wheeler was a real pain to fit into my pickup topper and, get the back end closed. I am very pleased with this purchase ... MoreFor many years I used a two wheeler that converted to a 4 wheel cart but, the capacity that it held doesn't even come close to this cart. Very easy to put toghether and, all parts work smoothly. I would recommend getting some bungee straps, a good idea to keep everything in place.

Used my new cart for the first time just the other day. This light weight cart is just what I was wanting. Light weight, strong enough to hold plenty of weight, and it folds up to a nice (small enough) size. Everything seems to be made of good quality. I'm a photographer and need to move equipment in and out of hotels, convention centers, etc. The tires are nice and smooth going over bumps. The cheaper carts the we have our studio have hard tires and are loud going over tile and other bumps in the hotels. (I hate that)! Again, these are smooth and quiet. I also LOVE the fact that while pushing the card, the handles are high enough so that you don't have to bend down while walking. Definitely a bonus for your back! I will tell you that I spent many, many nights ... MoreUsed my new cart for the first time just the other day. This light weight cart is just what I was wanting. I also LOVE the fact that while pushing the card, the handles are high enough so that you don't have to bend down while walking. Definitely a bonus for your back! I will tell you that I spent many, many nights researching equipment carts. There are so many different brands out there. The 8 in 1 Equipment Transporters are very popular, and got great reviews. So I decided to go with this brand. NATURALLY B and H Photo was and ALWAYS is the best place to get this product. As a professional photographer in Orlando Florida, I order lots of equipment from B and H Photo. You can count on their quality and customer service to be second to none...
I use this cart to haul my portable darkroom kit from my apartment to my car, car to location shoots. It handles weight very well, is easy to steer, and absorbs reasonable bumps and cracks. This model is good if you are tall, as the push/pull bars end up at waist height and I don’t have to stoop over. The wheels are more designed for road surfaces (you have to go up one or two models for off-road tires). They can, however roll over grass and reasonable soft surfaces (only tried this with about 200lbs of gear). This thing is also quite compact when stored, similar in size to a carry-on suitcase plus the wheels.
After using this product on two gigs (hotel ones which always seem to be a longer setup due to lifts and long hallways) i'm not sure how I coped before. It has made my setup and break down time so much quicker and easier on my back. I used to use a sack truck but this cart makes it easier as I can stack my subs and tops and other items straight on it without worrying about if it can take the weight. It is well built and collapses down to a smaller unit, I did find getting the handle bars up at each end a little frustrating at first but eventually found the knack of doing it. Very prompt delivery from DJKit after a false start (item they were going to ship to me was damaged). Thank you guys you are still my number one place to go for my DJ Kit.
I got tired of doing multiple trips to my car so I made the plunge and purchased this. Very happy I did so. Has made my load-in/out much easier and faster. And it fits in the back of my small car! It can hold a lot of weight and with some bungee cords you can stack stuff up pretty high without anything spilling. It glides smoothly across even some pretty rough pavement. My only gripe is that you do have to fold the side handles down in a particular order when you're done, but I'm sure after a while I'll memorize it and it will become second nature.
I'm glad that I had this RockNRoller cart this past weekend. I had to walk a long distance from the event to my vehicle. I was able to load my entire Dj RIG, including a outdoor canopy in 1 trip.
We carry 4 chairs, 2 Roland speakers, 2 mic stands, mics, accessories, 4 Manhasset Voyager (full-sized) music stands, 2 portable 10 fans, multiple large music books, a bass clarinet w/case (about 35 x 10 x 8), regular clarinet w/case, and Eb clarinet w/case. It's a bit over 200 pounds worth of gear. We play in the NYC subways...use the elevators, and this cart not only steers and pushes with ease, but it fits perfectly on the elevators! The brilliant design of the front and rear tall handles allows us to 'lift' the front or rear to get over large bumps. Can't say that the breaks on the front wheels are very good, but they help to stabilize the unit when we're on a subway car - yes, it fits in there, too! All of that gear PLUS the cart fit into my Toyota Camry's ... MoreWe carry 4 chairs, 2 Roland speakers, 2 mic stands, mics, accessories, 4 Manhasset Voyager (full-sized) music stands, 2 portable 10 fans, multiple large music books, a bass clarinet w/case (about 35 x 10 x 8), regular clarinet w/case, and Eb clarinet w/case. All of that gear PLUS the cart fit into my Toyota Camry's trunk, too! So travelling is a breeze! I was using cheap luggage carts and have purchased several hand trucks, but nothing equals this. Since it's expandable, I could fit even more gear on it! So far we've used it at 3 gigs, and have had to travel multiple NYC blocks/avenues, as well as all over the subways. It's held up beautifully! And, it looks 'nice' when we're performing - we leave it open, but put it behind us to hide our empty cases, gear bags, etc. Best purchase for the group we have ever made!
It's a great cart. I had borrowed them before from other people, so already knew what I was getting when I bought mine. Knocked a star off because of the quality. You get what you pay for. The wheels are super cheap and the construction is adequate, but a little sloppy. I also think the product could be improved with more than just one indexed stop for the extending load platform and also a latch to hold the fold up bar on the big wheel end when it's folded in compact transport mode. The bar flopping out is annoying when you are loading it into a vehicle. Other than that it is a pretty awesome cart and really works well for me.
