Well, it’s just a handle with a foamie, but for interview video, this is great. It can be carried in the bag while using the Wireless Go to pick up general stuff, planting the mic, or pinning on people and then when an interview situation is necessary, it gets the hands off the transmitter so you get clean audio without handling noise, while picking up two or more people but just hand holding it. So you don’t need to pack a Rode Reporter mic if you have this.So yes, it’s just a handle and a foamie. Well made. Light. But just so convenient for that kind of situation.I would like to change the foamie so I’m not a walking advert on video for Rode though.

The wireless go itself is a really good bit of kit but has two slight draw backs. When wearing certain clothes the only place to clip the mic was on my clothes right next to my neck. So this is where this great idea comes into play. It takes seconds to clip the mic onto the hand held adapter. Also in a nosier environment, it would useful has you can the hold the mic closer to your mouth in order to eliminate some of the outside noise. The deduction in one star is because you do have to hold it fairly tight to avoid getting any unwanted handling nose. The design is a little on the plane side with the handle being quite thin, so not great to hold for long times on hot days, however these are minor points and I would recommend it.

We all know the Wireless GO is a fantastic little mic system. The RODE Interview GO handheld mic adaptor adds versatility to the Wireless GO. I was impressed with the low handling noise of the handle and the solid feel in my hand. I was pleasantly surprised how the foam windscreen smoothed out vocals with the ability to close-mic the Wireless GO and makes it suitable for live sound reinforcement in small venues. This also works great in the classroom with hearing assist tech when it's the students' turn to talk.

You have no idea how useful this simple handle with a microphone slot on the end has been. I considered buying expensive wireless mics, despite having some wireless lavalier mics on hand. This gadget allowed me to simply clip one of my tiny mics on the end of it and cover it with the wind cover. Looks professional, works great and was insanely affordable. Thanks, B&H!
Inexpensive, and great for use by kids. I bought this handheld mic adapter when I was asked to chaperone my grandson's 5th grade class at a 3-day educational retreat/camp. The interview handle worked great, enabling the kids to play reporter on camera. And the audio that resulted was great, too, far better than I would have gotten with an on-camera mic -- especially in noisy environments, like a couple of kids on camera with hundreds more talking and making noise immediately around us.
Various YouTubers had been offering tutorials for how to hand-held-stickify the Rode Wireless Go transmitter mic. None of those solutions looked as civilized as a traditional hand-held interview mic. This solves that problem in a lightweight, elegant solution. My biggest complaint is that the foam windscreen is custom shaped inside for the unique contours of the Wireless Go plus this adapter. So you cannot just throw a universal windscreen on. And I dislike the gaudy-big Rode branding emblazoned across it. I've got two different omni handheld mics that I used with a pro camcorder and a professional wireless field mic system. This produces results that are 90% to 100% as good with lighter weight, faster setup, and greater versatility.
The handle is made from durable plastic that is mostly circular shaped with the back being straight. This helps relax the thumb while holding the handle. With the combined lightness of the handle and the size and weight of the wireless go, the mic is very light on the hand. The clip on the wireless go fits nice and snug onto the mic holder and the wind protector fits nicely over the top and I do like the Rode font printed on it. I Have given it four stars because the handle is a little plain but this may be the case with other mics? Also it doesn't have the greatest feel to hold but these are very small critiques. Over all, I really do like it and I can see it being used on a regular basis.
Functionally it works fine, but I hate that they decided to slap the giant Rode logo on the front and back of it - really conflicts with the purpose of the mic being an on-camera mic for vox pops/live/red carpet interviews. I'm sure Rode was thinking how great it will be to see their logo in all that content. I used a Sharpie to black out the logos - but you can still sort of notice that they are there.
This simple mic adapter allows you to use the Rode Wireless Go as an interview or presentation mic with very little cost. We recently used it at a workshop and the presenters loved it. And, no one knew that they were actually using our wireless mic set up. The handle and top make it intuitive and natural. Nice solution at a very economical (heck, I'll say it, cheap!) price! Thanks, Rode!
The foam wind screen has to have a rectangular hole on the bottom to fit over the Rode mic./transmitter. So you can't really buy a wind screen that fits properly that doesn't have the huge Rode logo on it. They can put their logo anywhere they want on a microphone that doesn't appear in your video. But on a stick mic. it's really stupid. Luckily, a black Sharpie does a pretty good job of covering the logo. It would be nice - and responsible of them - if they offered a wind screen without their obnoxious logo.Otherwise, it functions just fine. I would have given it 5 stars if they lost the logo.
