I'm sure the cable works well in many situations. It did not work for my intended purpose, which was to connect a Rode Wireless Go II to a lightning port in my 2021 Macbook Pro (Monterrey OS). It turned out that the better solution was a Rode SC7 cable coupled with an Apple (or other brand)USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter.

Bought at recommendation of Rode tech support after finding standard USB C cables don't work. This one didn't work either.

We didn't purchase this cable for its intended use but we needed a low profile, right angle cable and this fit the bill. Well made, light weight, small profile. Highly recommend.

After recently purchasing a new Mac, I wanted to use my Rode VideoMic NTG without the hassle of additional adapters.The Rode Type C Cable works perfectly however, with the extremely short 11.8 cable, the mic must always be directly next to the computer. No flexibility in changing the mic location without changing the computer location as well.If there's a longer cable, I'd give this 5 stars.
This cable is great, it allows me to connect my Rode Wireless Go II to both my Android phone as well as my HP laptop via the highspeed USB-C port it has. I can now use my mic for making phone calls, web meetings, recording training videos for work, and when making semi-professional video recordings using my phone & gimble. I love the versatility it gives me in a world where most major phone manufacturers have done away w/ the 3.5mm headphone jack on their higher end phones. This is a must have!
It works fine. The sound is really clean and worked perfectly.
I bought Aug22, started having issues early April23, now it's stopped working all together. Very odd.
I don't know what else to say. It works. It says out of the way better than a plain vanilla cord, and fits in the Rode cable management dingus built into the mount.
