I found out after a few weeks this mic does not work with the Samsung S21 Ultra. I should have tested more thoroughly when it arrived, but I waited. I spoke with Rode for three weeks to only find out they excuse is, “ Unfortunately, it looks like the issue is coming from the audio of the S21 and we do not have control with their products.” I’m hoping B&H will honor my long-time customer history and accept the return after the return window due to this oversight by Rode. Otherwise, I’ve wasted $150.

With a solid feel to it the Rode Vlogger kit is a must have for any upcoming vlogger. Used mine a couple of times now and unlike other kits I've used I'm confident that with this kit my phone will not slide out of the clamps. The light with filters is fairly robust and the microphone with deadcat makes such a difference.

The pros: It's better than a pin hole mic on a phone. The mic filter allows for better outdoor audio. The light is more functional and less annoying to look into than the phone light. There is a 3.5mm jack for my headphones.The cons: I'd like the mic design to allow for some adjustability so I can keep my case on. The stand has only two heights. The phone clamp is much more robustly built than the stand, making it top heavy.
