These are good for not having the extra threads of a bolt sticking out like the ones with the nuts as this only has the bolt head sticking out leaving a lower profile.Pro - Bolt head looks neater and won't stick into other items (soft luggage, folding chairs, tents) that maybe stacked on top.Cons - bolts are short so you can't bolt down thick brackets. But you can go to a hardware store and buy longer stainless 8mm bolts to fit a larger bracket.

Used to bolt Maxtrax’s to a Rhino-Rack Vortex bar. Easy option to create M8 threads in the rack, but the bolts are likely too short for most applications (were for mine).
I have a Rhino Rack Pioneer platform and wanted to mount a solar panel.I bought the Rola brand as it is compatible with Rhino Rack and it was very easy to use.
