I use this product only as a MIDI controller for realistic piano, thus I am very happy with its action and its lack of bells and whistles. Nevertheless, its Bluetooth connection at least on my device clearly does not work—I tried it on multiple Apple devices and PC's and it simply was not detectable via Bluetooth by any of my devices (and yes, I know its function combinations that turn Bluetooth on and off). Also, the action is pretty heavy in that you won't get MIDI velocity signals higher than 80 or so, no matter how hard you bang on the keys. Therefore, you would need to adjust the velocity curve on your piano software drastically in order to get a good sound out of it (I use the preset "slow keyboard" (not even the "moderately slow" one!) to get a decent ... Also trills and tremolos will be very sluggish and really the hardest thing to perform by this keyboard (though still doable after fiddling around with software settings and also some thorough warm-up practise to sort of "work in" the action mentally for yourself and get a good control ultimately). Overall, as a controller this keyboard will definitely remain my main playing instrument in this price range and in the long run and I am very happy with it. Thanks Roland for this simplistic but advanced MIDI instrument!

I just can't tell you how fine this entry-level digital piano is. While it does cost a little more than other brands, it has all the same extremely fine sound quality, weighted keys, progressive volume on the keys, adjustable sensitivity, without the distraction of an LCD screen, tons of buttons, etc. It is perfect starter piano for someone looking to upgrade in the future. I've been playing it for over a month now, and with lessons and daily practice, its quality and humble prose honestly inspires me to want that lovely baby grand acoustic someday. The on-board speakers and amplifier are plenty loud, representing a volume consistent with a medium sized grand that I use with my piano instructor. It seems to be a good entry level piano, the action feels the same as an acoustic one which is the most important factor I believe and the Bluetooth connection makes it easier to practice. The sound, though, could be more powerful especially when using headphone! The clicking noise of some keys started shortly after the purchase, Roland claimed it is normal and I might need to take it to their technician to apply more grease if it continues! That’s not what I would want from a brand new instrument! Finally, it would have a been a good touch if they could include some sort of cover for the piano to avoid collecting dust when not used, especially that there is no lid when you install the stand (to be purchased separately)

This keyboard is perfect for me. I was replacing an old standard piano. The sound and touch on this keyboard is so close to a standard piano, I can hardly believe it. It's a pleasure to play. For my purposes, casual playing and practice, it has all the features I need. Very happy I chose the FP-10. And I never need to have it tuned. :)
So far it sounds and feels wonderful. I haven?t gotten to use it much, but the ~15 hours of usage have been great. The connection to the app was seamless, connecting the pedal and headphones was no fuss. The speakers are honestly not bad, I know I?ve seen reviews talking about it not being loud enough, but they?re not too bad and if headphones are plugged in that solves that problem. I do wish there were more sounds available though (both in app and on the piano), but as far as what I?ve tried for digital pianos, this is the best one for its price.
I'm an experienced woodwind player, but fairly new to piano. I was getting frustrated with my small MIDI keyboard - I kept running out of bass notes - so I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a full-sized keyboard. After reading and watching reviews, I decided the FP-10 was the best balance of price and quality for my requirements. I don't need hundreds of MIDI voices and effects controllable from the keyboard itself, so this clean-looking design works for me, and I'm very pleased with the feel and responsiveness of the keys, and everything feels very solid and durable. The Roland app is good fun as well. It actually manages to make ear training fun, which is not something I ever thought I'd say! A huge step forward from my little MIDI keyboard, and I'm ... I bought this as a starter/ probably as much as I need , package having just started lessons . On reflection I would have bought the piano and a more solid frame as it would be easier to sit under but the x frame works atm for my needs. I have upgraded my headphones to earbuds as the sound with the headphones ( cheap airline type) wasn’t great and as I wear glasses to read the music they caused a lot of pressure on the side of my head . I haven’t tried the damper pedal yet but, having watched online comparisons, get the impression I may need to upgrade this as well. I bought a seat online which serves my needs for now . My aim is to become accomplished at piano playing rather than doing grades and I think this will serve me well.
Over all great price for what you’re getting. Great piano feel. But the thing that bothered me the most was the sound at around C4. The high and low notes sounded great Just like a real piano. But around C4 really wasn’t happy with the sound. Didn’t sound like a piano to me. There are a few really good Piano programs that you could use with this digital piano but they only work on a computer. Pianoteq is one of the good programs but it is only offered for computer. No support for iPads or iPhones. Roland has an app called Piano partner 2 which lets you tweak the sound and a bunch of other option but it’s very limited. Also it froze on me several times. I think if the Piano programs were offered to work with an iPad or iPhone I would have kept this digital piano. ... MoreOver all great price for what you’re getting. Great piano feel.
