Roland V-1HD+ HD Video Switcher
The V-1HD+ is the ultimate compact A/V switching solution for serious visual storytellers. Elevate your creative production process with versatile I/O, a familiar user interface, deep control, and essential monitoring tools that help keep your content looking great and sounding perfect. The V-1HD+ delivers the superior performance you want and the production-critical reliability you demand—plus the Roland support and training resources you deserve. While many video switchers promise easy workflows, they often require workarounds for optimum results. Too often, those workarounds force you into technical compromises and purchasing extra gear. With its feature-rich design, the V-1HD+ provides the key tools you need to get the job done right. Since its release in 2015, the Roland V-1HD has been the most popular high-definition, four-channel HDMI video switcher available. The V-1HD+ extends this legacy with a deeper feature set for advanced applications—while still maintaining the simple operation, pro performance, and rugged reliability that’s made the V-1HD a favourite of users around the world. Your passion for a simplified interface led our designers to add quick-action buttons for the most commonly used operations. With one-touch access to the system menu, downstream key on/off, transition type, picture-in-picture, effects on/off, and more, V-1HD+ production workflow is smooth and hassle-free. The V-1HD+ also includes PGM and PST busses and a transition/fade bar, which are the most-recognised video switching controls in the industry—and the quickest for beginners and volunteers to learn. And with tactile audio volume knobs, signal/peak lights, and unity gain markers, it’s simple and intuitive to adjust sound levels on the fly.

This is a great all-in-one HDMI solution for those that want to up their game in the video streaming or production world. It's one of the most affordable all-HDMI switchers out there.

I purchased the V-1HD+ to replace an Atem Mini that had a program output HDMI die. The mixer has nice quality audio preamps and great functionality like audio delay and PIP etc... Great stuff until I realized the UVC-01 capture device was glitchy with OBS. I am getting audio and video stuttering that seems repetitive. All is well when I capture with my Elgato HD60+ I expected more from a Roland branded product sold as a pair... Frustrating as the capture card space is a mess. Tough to know what to trust.

Great new value for money product
Many of the same great features as the V-8HD. Less inputs, but better audio capability. Highly recommend. Easy to use, good scaling on one input, solid, reliable with easy keying and effects
I use this to switch between my phone, laptop, and DVD player while projecting for drive-in movies. Nice to have an input for XLR microphones, 3.5mm TRS out (i use it to send to an FM transmitter), and 1/4 TRS outs (to send to audio mixers or directly to powered speakers). Unlike BlackMagic ATEMs, this actually supports HDCP allowing DVDs to play. It does have built-in chroma keying, so I'm able to use H2R Graphics from my laptop to easily add live text and countdowns over video.Minus one star because the manual doesn't say anything about supported USB flash drives. I spent weeks trying to find one that would work with this switcher.... the only one that I found to work was a 256mb flash drive I got in 2004. I spent weeks trying to find one that would work with this switcher.... the only one that I found to work was a 256mb flash drive I got in 2004. I couldn't get anything over 1gb to work (trying Sandisk and Samsung drives), but a couple of 1920x1080 PNGs only took up 1mb each. Also, it only supports PNG and BMP file types. That is in the manual but I tried using JPGs before reading it.I think it's way overpriced, but it does exactly what I need it to, and at the time the ATEM Mini Extreme wasn't out yet, I needed a switcher with a multi-view out and program out so I could set up without a laptop.Well built metal case, RGB-LED buttons, some customization options in the menu.
This is a really good live switcher that can be used in many different scenarios. From video podcasting to Live Events such a small concert it has enough capability and features that make it easy to get a very good end result.
Haven't had an opportunity to really put it threw some paces yet, but what we have done has been fine so far. Wish the USB software was available, as well as some tally lights. Very limited info on both those items at this point (3/5/21).
I had a few hesitations when the listing said it was refurbished, but WOW its perfect in all aspects, mechanically and cosmetically! Comes totally complete and performs flawlessly with all the bells & whistles you need for outstanding HD switching. Save yourself $300 and get this one while you can.
It's expensive. But the balanced XLR inputs, stereo RCA in, aux in, balanced TRS outs and thorough iPad control are worth the extra expense. Layout is intuitive, metal box is sturdy as are the connectors. EQ/compressor/limiter on each channel and on master out. Brightness/contrast on all ins. Also saturation, color and zoom on input 4 scaler. PiP, split screen, etc. at touch of a button. After using Roland V-1HD+ I would not be happy with the more popular, cheaper competition. I don't know why B&H pics don't include screenshots of the iPad app. That's the best feature of this product. You can see them here - https://proav.roland.com/global/products/v-1hd_plus_remote/
