Attach component #1 to the lens hood. Flip the tripod clamp to the side and slide component #2 from the back (bayonet side) towards the front of the lens. Attach component no. 3 from the back to the zoom ring. Position component #4 between the zoom and focus ring. Align the three cut-outs of the case exactly with the corresponding control buttons and then close the Velcro fastener. Place component #5 around the focus ring and close the Velcro fastener. Align the component #7 cutout with the control panel, then place the case around the rear end of the lens. Place component #6 around the tripod clamp. Align the case so that the controls, the strap eyelets and the tripod base remain freely accessible through the corresponding cut-outs. The assembly is complete.
