I am 60 years old and skate about 1,500 miles a year (our city has miles and miles of 8-foot wide concrete bike paths.) The Macroblade skates seem like they will work out well for me. Because I prefer 85A over the stock 82A on concrete, I transferred my old wheels to the new frames, which are aluminum, not molded plastic like the old skates. The solution was to barely put any tension on the laces at all, and keep the Velcro strap very loose so the foot can articulate. Upper ratchet is set very loose, too, but the skates are stable; seems these shells rotate much more in motion than the older ones, and require more play. Today was my second day on the new skates and my feet were OK after 40 mins, a little pain in my right foot but I think that's just due to break-in. My full route is just over an hour so I will continue to work up to that as I break these in gradually.

I bought them after looking at reviews (written and YouTube). I'm sure they are great skates, but as soon as I put them on, they were digging into my calves. They are quite large, so I probably should have just waited until the stores opened so I could have tried them on. I am happy to say that Dick's has extended their return policy, so maybe I'll be able to exchange them for something more appropriate for me. Something with a lower support, like roller skates. They are thin and low (around the ankles). I have no problem with those.
Happy with these, the women's version doesn't have larger sizes. i usually i wear a 10 in asics sneakers and the men's 9 for this skate fits well. ive been using outside on a playground, i haven't tested it on a sidewalk with pits. but it spins well on relatively clean cement and its comfortable..i haven't skated more than an hour at a time. happy with the quality as a recreational user spending time with the kids. since rollerblade isn't producing the skates at all for larger women it would be helpful if they included sizing info in the "men's model" for those of us who don't meet the dainty foot expectations this company holds us to.
So it's January in the Great Plains, so I haven't had a good day yet to use them outside of my hardwood floors. But they definitely feel good and seem well-constructed, as expected. My daughter has taken-up Rollerblading and I was going to skate with her, until my early 90's Cool Blades plastic housing busted. I think I got my life out of them! Looking forward to getting out with these. Oh, and I ordered my shoe size, which is snug but seems right, with the amount of space called for between the tips of my toes and the end of the insert. The measurement chart I've seen (in cm) was off, suggesting a size smaller. Glad I stuck with my shoe size.
I am an experienced skater. This product does not give enough support as the re is too much fabric. The foot shell does not have enough for to hold the foot in place therefore preventing a strong push off and stride. Because of the instability, it is dangerous for turns and other moves. Very challenging on the rougher pavements. The original rollerblade made years ago was perfect. What happened? Wouldn't buy this again.
Was looking for this particular set of Rollerblades in my size. Couldn’t find my size anywhere but this site had them. Placed my order and it was delivered in 3 days. Honestly very happy. Would definitely use this site again.
Super comfortable skates, yet provide adequate support. I'm a size 10 1/2 and ordered size 11, and they fit just fine. I've skated with them twice on asphalt and there is no sign of excessive wear on the wheels. However, will rotate wheels at first sign of wear.
Do not listen to most of the reviews on this site. 90% of people don't have any clue what they are talking about, and the rest give low ratings because Dick's messed up the delivery. Not even related to the skate. Not only is this one of the best skates out there for the price, it's an awesome skate for someone coming into skating for the first time, or coming back after years of not skating anymore. If you use a size measuring chart (do not ever buy a skate based on shoe size, just go find a measuring chart and save yourself the headache) these skates will fit snug and comfortably. I will say, I didn't use stock bearings, I always buy bones bearings for my skates and skateboards. Just great bang for your buck.
