Rouge Dior Couture Colour Refillable Lipstick #100 Nude Look (Matte)

I bough the shade 999 in the velvet finish while searching for the perfect universal red. The color is beautiful and I get many compliments on it. I was initially worried about the price point since I bought it online and many colors don't work on my skin tone. The "true red" was a bit warmer than I expected but it looked beautiful on me with some dark brown lipliner. Unlike the universal red for Fenty Beauty's lip paint, this one didn't require a ton of lip prep since the lipstick is already infused with lip-care ingredients. Over the day as you eat, drink, and talk, the shade will fade evenly--leaving a pretty wash of color behind. I still wish it lasted longer on the lips. To remedy this, I just carry a compact around with me for reapplication throughout the day. I love the feeling of pulling out the sleek black lipstick tube. So glamorous!

Another great lip product from Dior

As someone who worked at sephora for a few years, I always loved Dior's lip products and was a big fan of the shades and different finishes. Of course, it being Dior, it is pricey for a lipstick so I would definitely consider it a splurge. The new velvet matte formula feels so velvety soft without feeling dry or powdery. It's a very creamy formula and feels super comfy on the lips and I feel like it didn't exaggerate any dryness I had despite it being a matte lipstick. It doesn't last super long, if you eat or drink you'll definitely want to reapply, but it lasts longer than I anticipated for it being pretty creamy. Awful quality lipstick

It has been my first and last experience with Dior cosmetics.I bought set of mascara and lipstick. I asked personal about quality and features of those products.After a few hours wearing Mascara, the pieces of it are under my eyes zone. Mascara isn't water resistant, it washes out even after shower while not washing face.Lipstick wears for an 30 mins, then somehow it disappeared from lips (and that's NOT fit to food or drinks).I'm very disappointed due to Shoppers personal who cares only how sell disgusting products without carying of buyer needs. I received this Rouge Dior lipstick in 300 Nude Style Velvet to try out complementary in exchange for my honest review from Influenster. The actual casing of the lipstick is durable, heavyweight, and the container doesn?t open without intent. Velvet is definitely a perfect word to describe how this feels on my lips! The lipstick is pretty lightweight not overly thick and feels like a velvet powdery soft texture, when I rub my lips together. This is my first Dior lipstick, and the thing that took the most getting used to, is that the lipstick is fragranced. If you smell the lipstick itself, it is perfumed and when you apply it, you can continue to smell the perfume throughout the day from your lips. I didn?t find the perfume to be a turnoff, just rather something I wasn?t used to. Overall, I really love the color, wearability, texture, and everything about this lipstick and shade. I will repurchase when I run out of this one!

I wanted to see how the formula applied and performed straight out of the tube, without anything underneath, for times when I'm rushing out the door. They weren't exaggerating; the texture is legitimately velvety AF, and the pigment level is excellent. While it is not transfer-proof, not only does it smoothly apply like a dream, it holds well without being drying. When the color eventually faded, it softened into a diffused stain but my lips still felt and looked hydrated. The hybrid of shea butter, almond & jojoba oils, and waxes contribute to the long-lasting moisture. Sodium Hyaluronate & peony extract are also present but they are towards the bottom of the ingredient list. Its subtle floral aroma instantly took me back to early 2000s Dior beauty trainings, where we explored notes in their meticulously layered fragrances. Dior doesn't do "good enough to get out the door/on shelves". Each addition to their line is special, and fine-tuned. There's a section on the Dior website about their methods and progress in becoming more eco-friendly. I'm glad to see an iconic luxury fashion house (known not only for their high quality products but also for their covetable packaging), making efforts to become more sustainable and reduce their environmental footprint.

Lightweight Formula Delivers on Performance

I love that it feels like velvet on the lips and is so lightweight. I used NYX liner in Natural to line my lips. For me, this is definitely a formula you need liner with so it doesn't appear patchy or muddied - I hate when wearing lipstick it appears like you don't have clear definition between your lips and your face. I also appreciate that this formula wears through drinking and eating! I barely had anything come off on my glass. It's not a formula you have to worry about reapplying right away after you eat. I recieved this lipstick complimentary from Influenster. First let's start with the presentation and packaging. I must admit, it is very very gorgeous. The bullet looks so velvety, I dont think I've ever owned a lipstick with the bullet like that, and it makes it feel very high end. Although personally, I do think it could have been slightly heavier and a magnetized cap would have brought it all home. As for the formula, I was actually very pleasantly surprised. The shade I received was Nude Line Velvet 400, which is a deep chocolate brown. I'll start with the color, as I'm usually a light nude person and on my skintone this is a deep, vampy shade when applied full on. I'm actually sad I received this color when spring is just around the corner as the only time I'd wear this is in the fall and winter. That said, the product was VERY comfortable on the lips. I'm quite surprised as I don't think I've ever felt anything like it, it literally feels like nothing is on the lips. Not sucking the moisture, not giving moisture, just nothing. To me this is a plus, as even the more comfy matte finishes alway feels even a little bit drying, but with this one I even forget that I'm wearing it. I did not test it out for 16hrs because realistically I don't wear lipsticks that long, but the color stayed saturated and in place for about a good 7 hours. As I said, I'm more of a nude lip person, so I probably wouldn't wear this deep color very much. However, I did try sheering it out on the lips and it gives this really cool 90s midtone brown lip color that's more my everyday speed and I've been enjoying it like that once I was done testing it out full coverage. I typcially I wouldn't buy a lipstick this expensive, but if the formula and color is special, I don't mind paying. Given the comfy formula and the tones of nudes in this finish, I really feel like one of the middle shades of the line would be my perfect "nude." So I'd consider paying for the shade 200 or 300 refill once I'm done with the current nude I'm using from another brand.
