My 11yr old small dog had a really terrible bout with gastritis and had multiple ultrasounds, GI meds, steroids and by the end of it she really just didn't want to eat. Even after the gastritis was cleared up, as soon as the steroids were stopped she stopped eating. She would occasionally eat chicken and rice but obviously needed more nutrition. I bought several cans/brands of various foods and mini Starter really saved us. The thin pate consistency was easy for her to eat and digest and the food helped stimulate her appetite. We only needed to use it for a couple of weeks but I was very grateful for this product! I can see why so many breeders and puppies love this!

I read about people using this food for cleft lip puppies who can't suckle, by diluting with Pedialyte and tube feeding. Also a friend with a very small puppy used it starting at 2 weeks. We have a small puppy who can't suckle effectively, we've been tube feeding and I ordered this to try with her. It's working really well for her, started her gradually on it at about 19 days old, not substituting for tube feeding and time on mom, but in addition to those. All the puppies like it so it's been an easy way to start them eating a semi-solid food. The very small girl is able to eat it with no problems. We feed her separately from the rest of the litter, so she isn't pushed out of her food by bigger rougher siblings. They all love it, and stools on it are good. In my last litter momma couldn't provide any milk for her pups and I had to use syringe till pups are 3 weeks old. I started to use this mousse mixed with a goat milk and they absolutely loved it, they gained weight pretty fast and it was an easy transition to the mashed dog food. Now I'm using it for one of my swimmer puppy mixed with a dog food to help her to gain some weight. The Customer service is awesome. I received a case that about to expire in a month. After one call to Customer Service they sent me the new one with expedited shipping. Highly recommend this mousse and website. Plus, the price was cheaper then on any other sites.
