Our 6.5 year old female cat was starting to become a bit too rounded when we added a kitten to our family and she started eating the kittens food as well. This product is great to keep an indoor cat on the healthy weight side and seems to taste great as well.

Nobody can beat Petpost in both Pricing and Quality. My cat devours it,. He is obese and I feed this to him at nights only in order to reduce his weight.

Royal Canin Ultra Light is a great product. Indoor cat initially turned her nose up but I persisted mixing it in with her usual wet food and now she loves it. Being indoor weight gain is hard to maintain. This wet food is great, she loves it now and has a pouch for breakfast daily and fish or tuna in the evening plus a very small sprinkle of Royal Canin Pure Feline dry (slimming) only in the evening rather than conventional treats or dry food. Mixed with lots of feather games and ball chasing plus taking her out on a harness and leash for short periods she seems a happy healthy indoor cat. Busy road outside left me little option but as long as she gets the right nutrients and add odd slice of mashed carrot or half a dozen peas once a week to Royal Canin Ultra Light, ... MoreRoyal Canin Ultra Light is a great product. Hes not thrilled with anything even slightly healthy but he has gotten used to this as long as he still gets to eat his favourites as well. I have tried other RC types and they are a no go, but this is just acceptable!
Our senior cat has gained a little weight since his adoption. We tried to switch him to foods meant for cats of age 7+ but they would often leave him hungry and unfulfilled - causing us to become victims to a hangry kitty. This is one food that our cat enjoys eating and satiates his hunger fully. I don't know if it actually helps control weight yet since it's been just a few days since we started him on this diet.
Minnie was a bit of a porker when I adopted her. She loves food and was overweight. After months of finding out her food preferences, and after a visit to the vet I realised I needed to help her to lose weight. I found the Royal Canin ultra light wet food via a friend's recommendation and after some web research decided to try it rather than any other brand. Minnie was not keen but did actually eat it all on the first day. She likes to lick the spoon after I've spooned out the food from the other types of food sachets I fed her but it took a few days before she actually licked the spoon on the Royal Canin ultra light. Now she is just as keen to lick the spoon after I've spooned the sachet contents into her food bowl, which I always take as a sign that she likes the ... MoreMinnie was a bit of a porker when I adopted her. I have also purchased the Royal Canin ultra light dry food. My daughter commented recently that Minnie was losing weight so I know the ultra light food is working so I plan to continue buying it.
My chubby rescue cat has been on these Light Weight pouches for the past 5 months and loved the taste - he has lost around 700grs. He used to always plead for more food after finishing the pouch so I always add a couple of tablespoons of warm water to stretch the amount and he seems to feel fuller now. He's slimmer now but not yet slinky.
Our little rescue moggie has FIV, so he doesn’t get as much exercise as he’d like being an indoor cat. By the time we’d had him six months, he was looking a little tubby and the vet ordered a diet 😂 fast forward, he’s been eating this wet food exclusively with the Royal Canin Light dry food, and he’s gone from 6.3kg down to 5.6 in about three months. He hasn’t sulked about the flavour once and eats it happily every day. Love PetPost as they’re the most competitively priced for this cat food
I first tried this brand because my local pet store had run out of the food I usually buy. I chose the ultra-light variety as my cat is an indoor lady who has been sterilised fairly recently and is prone to putting on weight. This is definitely in the higher-end range of available cat foods but I feel that it's worth the money as it's obviously a good-quality product. It contains all the nutrients my cat needs to stay happy and healthy and she absolutely loves it. She usually tries to bat the bowl out of my hand before I've had a chance to put it down for her. It would be nice to see a wider range of flavours introduced as my cat enjoys variety. Perhaps you could do a box of fish pouches and a box of other meat flavours. My only real con with Royal Canin is that ... MoreI first tried this brand because my local pet store had run out of the food I usually buy. My only real con with Royal Canin is that it's quite difficult to get the food out of the pouch. With the other brand I buy the food slides out really easily but with this brand i usually have to pull the pouch apart and then shake it really hard, and even then there are usually a few chunks still left in the bottom and at the sides. Generally great though.
My cat eats both the wet and dry. She is very greedy but this seems to fill her up so there is much less begging. Not lost any weight yet so I am having to reduce the portion size, so we'll see. She is clearly thriving on this food though as she has a glossy Coat, bright eyes and lots of energy.
