It's a brilliant product. My 6 year-old rescue cat absolutely loves it, it has reduced the chronic gut problems he came to me with to virtually nil and unlike other foods, he has not got tired of it in the 10 months I've been feeding it to him. Previous to that I'd tried about 6 or 7 other types of quality including other Royal Canin biscuits. I do give him fresh cooked food as well but he has the biscuits several times a day every single day. He is gleaming with health. Please don't ever change the formula. It actually smells nice to my human nose as well, a bit like molasses or something. Thank you.

We were introduced to this product by our vet as one of our cats is very allergic to something in regular cat food. This product has improved her quality of life immeasurably. She is a completely different cat- no more painful visits to the litter box. She has become far more playful and alert. We can’t get over the difference it has made to her. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

'The Cat' is a (magnificent) rescue cat albeit with multiple allergies. She was prescribed Royal Canin Anallergenic dry food by the vet at the rescue centre. She enjoyed it and thrived on it for a long time. I couldn't get hold of it for a while and substituted another brand. I was pleased to be able to buy the Royal Canin at Animed Direct and went for the 4kg bag as the most cost effective option. Of course 'the Cat' refuses to eat it. As far as I can see the product is the same. I think it is expensive but otherwise a good product. Animed's price is very competitive and service was excellent. I hope this explains my mixed ratings.

Has anyone else noticed a change in the Royal Canin Anallergenic dry food for cats?Our cat has been taking these and always consistent size, colour and texture.This new batch has changed.Variable sizes, darker colour.Darker colour maybe ok but the ends are squashed, very dark and very hard.Abit like a burnt biscuit.Not so good for our cat with IBD and sensitive stomach.
My 16 year old cat has had a severe case of eosinophilic dermatosis. He ended up on immunosuppressants to control it. He's just finishing a food trial and I'm thrilled to say that so far there has been no return of the dermatosis with this food despite not taking any drugs. He seems to enjoy this food as does my other ( healthy) cat. Worth every cent despite being pricey.
Vet prescribed this food as we suspect food allergies. Upon opening the bag I almost gagged at the smell. Pretty sure my cat thought the same, as he didn't want to eat it the first week. (he usually devours his food) He eventually would eat it. Also, pretty sure this food made my cat vomit bile. Noticed the 1st ingredient is corn starch, that's odd since even the cheap food usually have some sort of meat first. The 2nd ingredient is poulty by-product..chicken is one of the most common allergens in cats why is this in allergenic food. Waste of money.
Our rescue cat kept throwing up, tried another brand's digestive food and she wouldn't eat it. Started on this - the price is a lot, but then she eats small portions so it lasts a while and no more upset tummy. By gradually introducing a small amount of wet food, she was able to tolerate it as well by still continuing with this vet diet. Problem is, the other 2 cats who virtually lived on road kill before I saved them, also like this and will steal it from her whenever they can! LOL
My 6y old cat became allergic to any food. My vet has recommended this food for 12 weeks and I can tell his allergies has gone, the stool has returned to the normal shape.The best price is online here , super quick delivery
Great price and delivery, You think it's expensive at first, but a 4Kg. bag lasts such a long time that it works out cheaper, also don't have to spend time/money with other cat foods, as one minute they like one thing and then won't touch it, we don't have that problem this food
