Our young male cat suffered from recurring urinary tract issues over a couple of years resulting in numerous, and expensive, vet visits and surgeries. We were told that he must go on a strict prescription quality urinary food diet, and having tried all of the options available this is the food that he would actually eat all of ! Thankfully he's had no recurrences of his previous issues since he's been solely on this diet ! I do add some water into the pouch after all the food has been tipped into his bowl mixing it with any leftover gravy inside the pouch to maximise the wet benefits of this food and tip that over the food in his bowl.

I nearly lost my young cat from urinary problems the vet pulled him through and recommended special food. A cat that would eat anything out of a sachet - including hoisin sauce which hed stolen-suddenly decided he didnt like urinary diet food. He rejected so many brands before we discovered Royal Canine and he loved it! He loves the texture, chewing on the strips of meat, and slurping up the gravy. I also use the biscuits. Hes fit and healthy and full of fun now.

My cat has had several problems with urinary crystals and my vet recommended that I try food made specifically to combat this. I bought 1 box, thinking that I would be wasting my money (it's quite expensive) because he's such a fussy eater. To my delight, he loves it! He's also not had any urinary problems since I've been using it - and that's well over a year now - so top marks from me!

I can't thank Royal Canin enough for making such a tasty wet food that our Burmese boy loves so much. Earlier in the year, our furbaby was suffering urinary obstructions and he underwent surgery where the vet removed 1000's of crystals from his bladder. He will be on the RC Urinary SO range for life so thank goodness he thinks it is so delicious!
Barry cat keeps trying to tell me the more Moderate Calorie biscuits he eats, the slimmer he will get. He loves them! There are instructions on how many biscuits to weigh out every day, he is hoping we haven't read them. For his own good we have and we are following them carefully. Barry is thriving
How can a specialised diet food, especially a lower calorie one, smell and taste so good? Barry cat loves this stuff and compared with other "medicinal recipe" wet foods it smells good and Barry tells us it tastes good. Not to mention potentially life-saving if it avoids the formation of urinary crystals. Follow the recommendations on the packet, particularly if supplementing with the special biscuits.
My cat Freddie uses this product together with the wet pouches for the same problem. He kept getting stones in his bladder and was unable to pass urine. After two huge vet bills we started to use these products which helps to dissolve the stones. Since using them he has not had any more problems and not had to go back to the vets.
Vet recommended this after our cat had a urinary blockage last year; he's been fine since, thankfully. He definitely enjoys it and is always pestering for more. Just wish it wasn't so expensive... Some other flavours would be good, too.
We had problems with our cat Freddie who had to go to the vets twice as he suffered badly from his urinary tract becoming blocked. And nearly died. On each occassion we had two very large veterinary bills for over 3k in total. We were told what the problem was but not how to control it. It was only by chance that the vet gave us what was left over in the box of cat food that we realised it was a special food given to him while he was recovering at the practice. I queried this with them and was told it was to help prevent it happening again. Why they didn't tell us the first time or second time i don't know. Since using this and doing away with the dried food we now have a very happy cat.
I bought two of these, along with the hub, to help manage diets for my cats. It gives me great pleasure watching their attempts to steal food be thwarted. Ran them both through the training program, was fairly straightforward to set up and get going. One cat took longer due to an extreme fright of the feeder but we got there in the end. If you’re having trouble with a greedy guts, I would highly recommend getting this or the original (non-connected) version. I like the monitoring aspects the app for the connected version brings though, even if it runs a bit slow. My only wish is that they weren’t just battery operated, but supposedly they can run for months without needing a change so there’s that. I also wish the stainless steel bowls came in a divided style for ... MoreI bought two of these, along with the hub, to help manage diets for my cats. I also wish the stainless steel bowls came in a divided style for the connected version, there isn’t an option in the weighing section of the app for mixed dry/wet. All in all very pleased to have invested in these.
