Royal Mint Platinum Jubilee Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II BU 50p Coin

Whilst the long reigning Queen Elizabeth II has celebrated various impressive milestones during her reign, no royal event has inherited as much importance as that of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations marking 70 years of the Queen’s unprecedented reign. Having spent more time on the throne than any other British monarch, Queen Elizabeth is one of the most beloved figures in Great Britain, and is adored by millions of people across the globe. Featured on the obverse of this Special Coin is John Bergdahl’s unique illustration of a portrait of Her Majesty The Queen on Horseback – this design is reminiscent of previous jubilee designs. Depicted quite beautifully on the reverse of this coin is the inclusion of a strong graphic image created by Osborne Ross, which includes the number 70 and features an inscription of the dates 1952 and 2022 highlighting the Queen’s unforgettable reign. This Remarkable Coin is accompanied by an informational booklet, revisiting the past jubilee celebrations, and also including an introduction to the royal event conducted by Royal Historian and Author, Professor Kate Williams.
