I can go on and on about why I absolutely love these rubber maid containers. I first got them at Costco when they had a deal that Included a 22 piece set. Functionality: the rigid plastic is very high quality. The containers feel like they’ve been built to last Design: the design is what first drawn me to these containers. I slid the bag right in, but I could have poured the flour right in the container.There are two tall narrow ones for spaghetti noodle boxes or other tall skinny food times 6 cups and 8 cups respectfully. The smaller ones are good for any variety of pantry items.It is called a pantry set and with the rubber gasket lids they are well suited for long term storage, but these containers would be great for general food storage. They are dishwasher safe and stain proof as well. I have not traveled with food in them yet, but they seem like they would hold up well for traveling foods even soups or sauces. I would consider them for a cookout or even a car camping trip.All in all, I am happy with these containers and think I will get a lot of use of them. I would probably get more of these to keep making my kitchen work better.

GREAT packaging, great size. Lunch to go

This was the BEST packaging I’ve seen in a long time! It came in a secure, firm cardboard box with cardboard dividers protecting each glass container. We do really like the Rubbermaid Brilliance plastic containers- but the containers didn’t hold up; so I was excited when I saw these in GLASS. They do take up a little more space in my cupboard, but they still nest together. The size is great for our adult lunch bags. The locking mechanism seems just as secure as they were on the plastic containers, so I’m hopeful these are a sustainable long term use for our lunch packing needs!

Glass or Plastic Brilliance are both amazing

If you're contemplating between the glass or plastic Rubbermaid brilliance, both are amazing. The glass is on the heavier side, but both variations are leakproof, and the stains won't stick. The lids are the same across both materials. From afar, you won't be able to tell if a container is glass or plastic. Everything is BPA free, but if you're not planning to heat the food in the containers, the plastic will probably be fine. Although I initially went with the glass line, I started moving towards the plastic line. Overall, I've extremely pleased with these containers. The snaps are easy to use and don't require a lot of force. It's easy to clean and remains looking new even after many dishwasher cycles.

IT LEAKED!

I ran across these containers when looking for a leak proof container I could use for marinating tofu. I usually use zip lock bags so I could seal the tofu and marinade in and flip and turn and shake it anytime I was looking in the fridge and not have to worry about leakage. I was over either going through zip lock bags or washing them to reuse.I liked that these came in the option of glass so they could be used in the oven for single meals like lasagna. They were also a great size for meal prepping and bringing lunch to work. (I got the 3.2 cup size)The first time I used the container it worked perfect and I tossed the cardboard/paper wrapping (needed for returns) and ordered some more. Loved Them at First, Not So Much with Normal Use

I purchased these from Walmart a while back. I loved them in the beginning! I liked the squared off rectangle shape because does not waste space in the refrigerator and one size fit in my lunch container without having to put in sideways. Yes! But as I used and washed them, there are times when I or my kids had dropped them, and they cracked, extremely easily. Sure, don't drop them. But over time, it happens. I had also hit one against something, and it cracked too. So most of the containers I had purchased have now been thrown away, in less that a year. This possibility had not crossed my mind before purchasing. I will not buy these or any other containers with this type of of hard, easily "crack-able" plastic for the same reason . . . they do not last with not ... MoreI purchased these from Walmart a while back. Excellent product. While the price on these is higher, you are actually getting what you pay for. I've tried every (and I do mean EVERY) food storage product in every brand, type, and shape that is out there over the last 35 years, and I am gradually ditching all of my old stuff and switching to these for everything. I love the rectangular shapes available and am happy to donate all of my round glass storage containers. This item also has a great, tight-sealing lid. Over the years I've definitely learned that glass is superior to plastic of any kind. Their moving/storage containers are just as exceptional compared to the other brands that are available. We've tried the other brands of those that are out there, and have had possessions damaged as a result. Wisdom does now what it will be happy with later. Invest in these glass food storage containers and you will be happy, I'm certain.
