My dog was diagnosed with bone cancer and needed his from leg amputated. Once he was healed and gaining strength I wanted to take him back on the trails and needed a harness that would stay put with a retractable leash attached. IMO - 99% of dog harnesses are made for dogs with 4 legs (which is fair), but thousands of dogs have front leg amputations that go on to have active lifestyles post surgery. My dog is sensitive with harnesses so I had to find one that would be comfy yet durable yet stayed in place when snug. THIS. HARNESS. IS. IT. And you know what sold me? One of the dog models they feature for this harness is a front leg amputee. My dog is tall and lean at 70 lbs, and this harness fits him like a glove. After 2 good hikes in it he has not shown any signs of discomfort. *note to the marketing team: push this harness as a front leg amputee friendly harness! I wish I would have found this sooner!!

I have to say that this harness is great product from Ruffwear. It seems to be very durable and well made all over from the stitching to the hooks and reflectors.The fabric is light and breathable as well as easy to wipe down for cleaning. The multiple adjustment areas are handy if you have a slightly pudgy fur friend as it allows it to be snug but not too tight in all the right areas. The back support area was a little too stiff at first but has softened up a little now while still providing a good amount of support. It provides a snug but comfortable fit for a little houdini beagle. He has easily slipped out of other harnesses before but hasn’t been able to with this one as of yet. I believe this might be due to the design with the extra rear strap. I feel that the addition of the rear strap keeps him from being able to wiggle and squirm his way out of it. A front buckle in the neck area would be nice to make it a little easier to get on and off quickly as the only way to do so now is putting over the dog's head. I know that might pose an issue for some dogs that don’t like things going over their head thankfully he doesn’t seem to mind it. The handle is nice and sturdy to allow for better control of your dog or to allow for assistance with slightly lifting them if and when needed. I really like the extra loop as it gives you options for where you can attach an extra leash, seat belt strap, identification tags, light, or anything else needed on an adventure. The reflectors are a nice addition as it makes the harness very visible without being overpowering and that is helpful when hiking in dense forest terrains or walking in the early mornings/evenings.

The Web Master dog harness is almost perfect. We love how secure the harness is for our flight risk pup, and the adjustability is good. Our only complaint is that the harness would be easier for our tripawd to get on if the front section had a dual buckle, or was reversible on which side is the easier access side. Our pup is missing the front left leg, and we end up having to lift her fully to get her right front in the harness—if the front attachment was reversible, we would have a much easier time putting it on. I imagine this isn't a problem for four-legged dogs, who can lift one front leg and stay standing.Other than that, the harness is sturdy and strong, vibrantly colored, and very visible at night and in wooded settings.
