This is an amazing sounding preamp. The detail in the top end is ridiculous. It does not like to be clipped at all though. Super clean.

Depending where you're at in your recording journey, I think this could be looked at as justifiable expense or not. Yes $2K is a huge amount for a mic preamp (but thanks AMS payment plan!), but I will say that I noticed the biggest leap in quality in my recordings happened when I upgraded my audio interface and mic preamps. Microphones can have a big impact, too, but I look at those affecting things more tonally whereas preamps and converters are truly affecting the quality of your actual audio capture. This thing really shines on vocals and acoustic guitars/instruments. I think you would probably be blown away when you hear what happens when you begin to stack tracks, simply breathtaking! Mr. Neve has possibly been one of the most influential figures in the recording world over the past 50+ years, so whatever he puts his name on, I'm going to trust and endorse whole heartedly. And I won't lie, it feels great to own some equipment with his name on it that was the last part of his amazing legacy.

Versatile digital wireless system for singers, speakers and instrumentalists. It offers seamless pairing and clear management of all products via the EW-D Smart Assist app. The bodypack transmitter in a robust metal housing is perfect for everyday stage use with the CI 1 instrument cable supplied. Setting new standards Evolution Wireless Digital breaks through current limits with a wider dynamic range than any other system currently available. In everyday use, the system automatically searches for the best transmission frequency within seconds and simultaneously allows up to 90 additional channels thanks to the 56 Mhz switching bandwidth. It is easy to recognise: The wireless system is in a class of its own. Equidistant spacing - simpler than it sounds Evolution Wireless Digital has an equidistant frequency spacing previously only found in our flagship systems such as Digital 6000 and Digitall 9000. High-quality components with exceptional linearity eliminate intermodulation between EW-D transmitters, allowing for side-by-side frequency mapping every 600 kHz. This simplifies coordination for beginners and experienced users alike. It also contributes to the scalability of the system and the high channel limit. The sound engineer in your pocket With the Sennheiser Smart Assist app and the power of Bluetooth Low Energy, control is literally in the palm of your hand. From the comfort of your Android or iOS device, you can enjoy the benefits of fast automatic setup, mobile access to all system settings and remote monitoring. You save time, energy and work more confidently and stress-free.
