This is an excellent coffee machine. It comes with minimal assembly requirements (just slotting bits in) and detailed instructions. After 1 use you know what to do. It grinds beans well but are quite coarse ground, you can grind more if needed by setting the amount to more, if you want a finer grind. The time set up is simple and setting a timer is equally as simple.2 cups equals a typical mug.The running time is extremely quick so I've not had to test the anti drip system.I've used with both ground coffee and beans with no difficulties switching between the two.Overall I would (and already have) recommended to friends and family and anyone reading this review.

My wife snd I enjoy one coffee a day as mainly tea drinkers. We like pure quality coffee, unadulterated by milk, cream or anything else. This serves up to 12 cups and serves it and keeps it at ideal temperature - unlike many machines. You dial up the grinding of sufficient beans for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 cups, or no grinding if you use pre-ground coffee. We bought it at a huge discount and to replace its predecessor which had lasted nine years. You can easily vary the strength with a single button press from normal to stronger to much stronger, the process keeping the water in contact with the ground coffee for slightly longer. Great piece of kit.

Nice idea but the reality is not great, the grinder isn’t great and doesn’t do a good enough job, I’m no coffee snob I just like good coffee and this machine uses a lot of beans to provide a good cup, I ended up returning the machine and investing more into a delounghi (deffo not how it’s spelt) bean to cup which grinds to a powder which you’d eExpect if you bought pre-ground and not gravel that this machine does.My advice, save your money wait for a deal on a better machine which will in turn will use less beans meaning you won’t have false economy buying this one

The machine is great, and makes nice coffee. It’s also easy to use. My only small disappointment is that it uses quite a lot of beans to make only quite a small amount of coffee (4 scoops for 2 cups). Maybe this is a normal amount though - I’ve never used whole beans before. It grinds them quite coarsely, not as fine as when you buy the ground beans. I enjoy the coffee but a coffee fanatic might think differently!
I previously owned a DeLonghi bean to cup coffee machine which cost around 450. I needed a replacement, but didnt want to pay that sort of money again, so when I saw this for 65, I had to have it! Yes, it doesnt have a milk frother, but I never used that anyway. I can still use beans, and the aroma is just as good as before when theyre being ground. Any machine will never produce boiling hot coffee of course, but the coffee from this is plenty hot enough for me, and compares favourably with the DeLonghi. I like the fact that when you clean the filter, the filter holder, and the carafe , you are cleaning every part that comes into contact with the coffee - the Deloghi is much more complex, and youre never able to get to every part to clean it. Fantastic machine, with 1 exception, the coffee grinder, have not and never will use it. Use a separate coffee grinder. Love the fact that I can do a couple of cups or up to 12 cups, also the strength, which I can vary. The machine is nice and well made, there is a timer, again never used. Big difference between this machine and the 1 it replaced, this one only keeps brewed coffee hot for 20mins as apposed to being constantly on, on the old one.Certainly, after using this 1 for a few times, would not go back to the old 1. Still find it very handy, pouring out the coffee and popping it into the microwave, for any coffee left over, but as 1 can make as little or as much as 1 wants, doesn't occur very often. As I like a stronger cup of coffee, have been using 10 ... MoreFantastic machine, with 1 exception, the coffee grinder, have not and never will use it. Also the permanent filter is great, no longer looking for the paper filters. Requires a bit more cleaning than the old 1, due to the filter, but now the grounds are recycled in the food bin, as opposed to the waste bin.No problems so far, and I have been using it for a wee while now.Have even considered as presents for other people.Would certainly recommend it to anyone.
After our old tussle Hobbs coffee machine died after 8 years of service we decided to get something a little fancier.I absolutely love this machine, easy to use and set up, easy to clean and takes pre ground and beans so what’s not to love! Our favourite feature is that you can set a timer for it to make your coffee! Now it does say it’s super quiet when grinding the beans, I can confirm it’s most definitely not! Not that it bothers me because I’m up before it starts, I think if you lived in a house it would be ok but I live in a flat and our bedroom is down a short corridor from the kitchen, so it’s something to watch out for when buying! That is literally my only complaint about this machine
Great being able to have the choice to simply grind fresh beans or use ready ground fresh coffee. Can use filtered water for smooth taste if desired. Keeps coffee warm for second cup. Size of double toaster on work top.Easy to clean
I purchased this coffee maker specifically for the "coffee later function" as it's nice to wake up in the morning and not have to wait on the first cup. The instruction booklet that accompanies the machine (item #24) in the booklet is wrong. I did eventually manage to figure it out and get it set and it worked as planned. Though whether or not I can replicate the sequence of of buttons to get it to brew again on a timer function remains to be seen. Also, the warming plate underneath will only stay on for 40 minutes then it automatically shuts itself off and there is no override function to keep it on for longer. Really? On a 12 cup coffee maker. Forty minutes?? It's also worth mentioning that the permanent filter that accompanies the coffee maker allowed fine coffee ... MoreI purchased this coffee maker specifically for the "coffee later function" as it's nice to wake up in the morning and not have to wait on the first cup. On a 12 cup coffee maker. Forty minutes?? It's also worth mentioning that the permanent filter that accompanies the coffee maker allowed fine coffee sediment to filter through making the last two sips in my cup particularly bitter. The temperature of the coffee itself wasn't great either. I enjoy a piping hot cup of coffee and sadly this coffee maker at best gives you a tepid cup, so I had to pop it in the microwave, especially after adding milk to the cup. The one positive I have for this machine is that it is fairly quiet. I never heard the coffee pot click on and brew like I have with other machines. On the whole, it's just an average machine with poorly written instructions.
