I was very impressed with the size and look of the toaster as soon as I opened the box. Wide 4 slice toaster that look stylish and elegant. Loved the Champagne colour, very modern. The toaster had a smooth and gentle slide operation, very quiet when operating and effortlessly easy to use. A good range of options and settings making toasting very easy to the whole households liking. It arrived late so only trialled for about 5 days so far and have not yet cleaned to crumb trays. The trays are accessible and appear wide enough to catch the majority of crumbs. I love the wide slots which make toasting thick cut bread, crumpets and muffins so easy.

Toaster works well and once you get used to the level of browning settings. However we found it to be deficient in the ability to 'pop up' slices that do not conform to standard loaf sizes. My wife makes her own bread and often makes loaves that are smaller in height than a standard loaf. While these toast perfectly well they do not 'pop up' to a level that allows easy extraction even using when using the high lift option. The only way to get the slice out is to turn off the toaster and try to extract with tweezers. Of you only ever intend to toast standard sizes loaves or muffins then this will not be a problem, but if you are going to occasional toast something smaller than this is something you need to be aware of.

It has minimalistic but stylish look and the matte champagne shade really makes the toaster pop on my countertop.Even though it’s 4 slice toaster it’s light and compact. It features defrost, reheat and cancel functions on both sides and browning control makes it convenient to keep your preferred setting.It toasts evenly on both side and it doesn’t burn my toast either. I like my toast golden brown and I immediately got the settings on the right level.Definitely a great addition to our family- makes the toasting so much quicker and easier.

The Russell Hobbs Brooklyn 4 slice toaster has a great look and the quality of the built is evident in the feel and appearance of the toaster. I followed the instructions and used the toaster empty on the highest setting and left it ready for the next day. The colouring on the bread was great and consistent over the whole slice. It was a perfect cook straight away so I didn't need to adjust my dial at all. The defrost and reheat bottoms are handy as well. The reheat button is great if you like your toast cooked a little more when it pops out. I found for the first couple of slices one side was cooked more than the other but that's gone away through use.
I bought the Brooklyn toaster after my basic four slice finally stopped accepting bread after more than 10 years. The Brooklyn has filled my requirements perfectly. It takes fours slices which are wide enough for crumpets and I am guessing croissants too. It has all the buttons you expect for controlling the toasting length time and cancelling the toast, plus a couple of others. The feature I like best is the crumb trays which make it easy to keep clean. The styling of the product is a sleek matt black and stainless steel and will compliment many a kitchen without trying too hard.
This has to be the most attractive toaster ever! Was so excited to take it out of the box and look at its gleaming curves with that contemporary champagne colour that suits most home decor. Very easy to operate and just have to work out our ideal setting for perfect toast. Think I slightly over browned the first lot but that will improve with trial and error. Definitely will recommend this toaster to friends and now on the lookout for the matching kettle. Haven't used the extra features as yet but am sure that they won't be difficult to use as the buttons are large and well labelled. Also love the wide slots so that we can toast thick bread and no waiting for my partner to finish toasting, with the handy 4 slots. Overall, very impressed with this toaster!

The first thing you notice is its stylish chrome features. The overall look is very attractive and now is easily the nicest looking appliance in my kitchen hands down. The champaign colour is just amazing. It makes me want to match all of my other appliances with style and colour.It's slightly smaller then my old 4 slice Toaster, which I love. I also love how it toasts evenly every time. Our old Toaster required us to pop half way flip the toast and start again.It has easy to access, pop open leavers at the back for easy cleaning. It also has a defrost, reheat and cancel function like most toasters.Over all, I'm actually pretty impressed with this stylish little addition.
From the moment I removed this product from the box, I was impressed. It’s a beautifully designed toaster, and the quality is obvious. I love the ease of use of the high lift feature, and the seperate cooking levels for each side (this was a major selling point for me, I love my toast extra toasty, my husband is a lightly toasted man). It is the perfect size for our family, yet somehow doesn’t seem to take up much bench space. I have a small kitchen, so this was much appreciated. All in all, it’s a fantastic product, and would suit any kitchen. Stylish and functional, what more could you ask for?

It is a mix of wholemeal wheat, rye flour and grains, I cut the slices thick (13cm), and they used to fit perfectly into my old Breville toaster, which died.In my new Russell Hobbs Brooklyn toaster I had to turn the slices sideway to fit them in, and found the best result was on setting 4.5, but only the middle got toasted and not the edges. If I put then in for longer, the middle got burnt.After experimenting for 2 weeks I have the perfect toast.I slice 1cm off one side of each piece of bread, so they fit right inside the toaster. I take them out, rotate them 90 degrees, swap the slice in the left slot with the slice in the right slot, on each side of the toaster, and toast them again on setting 2.5. Every toaster is different you just have to learn what your toaster will do.If you don't want to fiddle with the button changing setting 3 to setting 2.5 every time you make toast, just set the left control to 3 and the right control to 2.5 and move the slices so that each piece of toast gets a go on 2.5 and go on 3.When I toast the crumpets, they each get 3 turns on setting 3 with one swap left to right.When I toast commercially made bread, they get 2 turns on 2 - with one swap
