As kettle colour is white, limescale splashes can’t be seen, so the kettle looks better for longer!Cons: Handle is in a cheap chrome plastic finish. It would look much classier if the handle matched the base, in brushed metal.A flip-lid would be preferable- have to take this one on & off at every refill.

Having read good reviews on the Inspire model I decided to take a chance and so far have been very pleased with it. I like being able to remove the lid to fill - although you can fill through the spout. Additionally the wide neck suggests that it will be much easier to clean than the old one - time will tell but as we live in a very hard water area descaling is a regular requirement. It boils fast, it's quiet, it pours beautifully and the lid is easy to remove: not fiddly at all. Even when it is full (1.7L), the excellently designed handle means it does not feel weighty. The blue light on the switch and the blue lights inside make me smile. The opaque measuring guide under the handle is not ideal but I am not taking away a star because of that. The red measuring guides inside, like little paddling feet, are perfect for small amounts of water.It replaces my previous kettle where the element blew. It tripped all my electricity, the kettle switch caught fire and the handle started melting. I call it my Du-Alight kettle now and have transferred my affections to Russell Hobbs. This is a star buy.

I’ve Been looking for a white kettle for a while as it’s on trend and brightens up the kitchen, so happy with the design aspect too. THis kettle is excellent. It has an easy to remove lid with that circular handle on top. It lights up in a soft blue so that you can see how much water remails in the is kettle. It has a red step system to help fill with water for one cup of tea / coffee, this is viewed when looking inside as you top up the water. The red 'steps' show how much water you need for a single cup or two cups or 3 cups - ingenious. The kettle boils quickly and fairly silently. It is a great kettle and a bargain price.
