Tidy little unit and fits a standard pizza in the oven. However the hot plates do not have a temperature control option. Meaning you turn them on and you can not control how hot you want them. So they are only good for boiling something!You can not use a frying pan or cook a stew as the unit only knows one temp. So if your looking to boil water or whip up some 2 minute noodles your all good.If the hot plates temperature had a control knob I would have given it a 5 star rating.

There’s one of these in the granny flat I’m renting. Whilst the oven part works fine, the temperature of the hot plates is NOT adjustable - it’s either all or nothing. It’s not great if you want to be able to simmer or slowly heat something. Instead your only option is to vigorously boil/heat everything when using either or both hot plates. Plus it’s rather annoying that you can’t use both the oven and the hot plates at the same time either.

This is a great little cooker for small apartments. I've cooked roast veges in the oven and the elements hot up properly, I do stir frys easily. Some people complain you can't do everything at once but you just have to think about it. I use my microwave for a few things too so combined it's very easy and useful. Very Happy.

This compact oven suits our small kitchen perfectly. We are very happy with its performance overall. The oven/grill is excellent and everything we have cooked in it, from a roast to chocolate cake, has turned out well.The hot plates, despite not having temperature control, are manageable. If you turn the hot plates off10 minutes before a pot is finished the heat left as the hotplate cools keeps on cooking at a simmer.It takes some getting used to but it works well. It is fantastic value for what it can do.
I have bought this cooker x3 times After about 4 months one of the plates stopped working Swapped for a new one : the temperature knob did not work & plates were extremely hot all the time Swapped for a third one after about same amount of time the large hot plate stopped working again. Very disappointed as size it’s perfect for my tiny house ! Now will have to swap it a fourth time. Do not buy
I've had one of these a few years ago in a rental granny flat that was awesome so decided I'd buy one because I need an oven. I didn't buy it for the hotplates because they only work at one temperature and that's flat out. Bad design. But unlike the last one I had, this one burns everything really quickly. After burning 5 lots of meat (grrrr), I lost it. I contacted AO and two weeks on, I'm still waiting to hear from someone to have it picked up and refunded. Don't buy it. Foods too expensive to waste in this incinerator.

Firstly there are no temperature settings for the hot plates, so it is impossible to control the heat whilst you are cooking, not very practical if you would like to cook an omelette or if you need anything to simmer on a low ebb for example. Secondly, the hotplates do not even work when you have the oven on, so this can become a problem if you need to use both parts of oven in unison. Finally the oven itself is pretty good but the internal cavity could be a inch or to larger. Whoever designed this oven obviously isn't much of a cook. This oven may look stylish but unfortunately it is a bit of a lemon. On first go I thought the temps weren't right as eggs didn't cook in the oven in the time my now defunct oven did them in. I bought a portable temp guage and it just turned out that it takes 20 min for it to get up to temperature (there's no indicator to tell you when it's up to temperature). So was putting them in too early. Now I wait until the guage tells me it's at the right temp. Just need to remember that there are elements top and bottom. Whichever you use, or both, there is not even cooking when using both shelves. Just need to adapt my knowledge of normal ovens to make sure nothing is over or under cooked. This is a great product, serves the purpose and represents true value for money. Have used all aspects of oven and cook tops. Shame the box was opened, repackaged and all instructions, warranty details were missing, plus utensil missing. I even asked at counter if repacked sticker on box was an issue - assured it wasnt. So product gets 5Stars, service from GoodGuys1Star. Followed up, no response from GoodGuys.
I baked a loaf of bread and was very pleased with the outcome. the oven maintained the correct temperature and because of the reduced oven size it cooked the loaf quicker than usual, while not compromising on baking quality.Its difficult to prepare a baked meal without juggling between oven and hotplates (they cannot be used at the same time). Planning is required and once used to it the outcome is fine. can be fiddly. hotplates maintain good heat once temperature is reached.the only thing missing is a microwave facility.
