Ryco SynTec Oil Filter Z145AST Fits Nissan 300C 3.0 (Y30)

Never had problems on my Skyline. Always using this one as this filter is better than the basic one.

First time I’ve used this filter. Can’t comment on filtration effectiveness without cutting the thing open, although the long service interval is appreciated. The biggest noticeable flaw is that the anti drain back valve doesn’t seem to be strong enough to prevent dry starts. If the car has been sitting overnight, no oil pressure registers for usually 1-3 seconds after start up (once it took 4 or 5 sec) and that’s a worry, especially since the manufacturers recommendation of 5w30 oil is used, with regular changes. No such problem if it’s only been sitting for a few minutes or hours, though. Nonetheless, that delay is not good enough from any oil filter, let alone one at this price. Also, an internal magnet would be a nice feature to have.
