I brought this Ryobi about 2 months ago and I'm so happy with how it works. It doesn't take long to warm up and with the drip tray no more mess to clean up.I have gone through so many glue guns, in fact i have been through four cheap ones in the past month, but the Ryobi is amazing i would highly recommend everyone to purchase one. Great value, easy to work with, no mess, and it heats up quick. GET YOURSELF ONE YOU WON'T REGRET IT :)

I have bought at least 5 different types of glue guns from various shops pull in, rechargeable, hands free (AA batteries) but hands down this has to be the best hot glue gun. It keeps the heat to the heat so I can use it quickly and don’t have to wait 10 minutes for it to heat up. I owned other Ryobi thing so had batteries but would love to have a smaller one as I have the big ones.

Not sure why the other reviewer below felt the need to give this two stars for not having the "trigger volume" he expected. It's a "compact" glue gun and for what it is, it's awesome. Perfect for incidental use, stays hot, doesn't suck much juice from the battery and it's small size and not being tethered to the bulky battery is great for tricky situations and for keeping your workspace clean. If like the other reviewer you need a more volumous glue gun, then the full size Ryobi glue gun is more suited and not for a whole lot more dollars than this one. Gotta choose the right tool for the job ;)

-Works well with high temperature glue sticks (standard Craftright sticks I’ve been using)-The included glue sticks appear to be low temperature, so they leak out quickly when not in use. Using the high temperature sticks virtually stops the leaking.-Drip tray is brilliant-Having it in a dock when between gluing is very convenient. We all know that regular glue guns usually fall over because of their light weight and power cord, this problem is eliminated.Very happy with this purchase
This glue gun uses the smaller diameter gluesticks and is extremely small, light weight and more manoeuvrable than it's bigger brother or even most corded types. The heat up time is quick and works perfectly for small craft projects and to help with 3D printing mishaps. It seems to barely use any battery power at all.
Bought this for my daughter for Christmas as she has a small handmade gift business and uses a hot glue gun a lot. This product is absolutely perfect for her as she doesn’t have the worry about a cord whilst working. It is compact and light to use. One very happy daughter.
The glue gun is now my 15th Ryobi 18V battery tool. I have reached an age where dragging powercords all over the place has created a trip hazard for me. By changing to battery ooperated Ryobi tools, I now have a much safer work (hobby) space. Also when the "kids" want a job done, how easy to pick a tool and battery and go mobile. By the way, love the glue gun, very fine tip with very little mess. So easy to use.
Works great, love the mobility and ease of use. The light weight is a big plus for me even if this means you only get 5 or so minutes of glueing before it needs to sit in the dock again to recharge. It’s brilliant for small jobs, but if you need continuous use for longer periods of time this is not the right tool for you.
You will regret buying this. I have many One + tools and this is the only one that I am going to literally throw in the rubbish. It is extremely frustrating to use. The feeder is not strong enough to push the glue stick thru the gun and doesn't grab enough of the stick so you have to manually push the next one up against the end of the one already in it. Hopeless.
I have a large ONE+ collection, this neat little glue gun has become a recent favourite. Hot glue and a power cord has always been a nightmare and at times dangerous but not anymore with this cordless option! The drip trip feature is a bonus and saves messy clean up and being concerned about bench tops. A great addition to the tool kit!
