What a great product and it cut through both dense overhead shrub's and branches with ease!Simple slide and bolt on connection makes it easy to swap back to the line trimmer. You need to keep a check on the oil reservoir supply as it can dispense the oil onto the chain quite quickly once your start using it for a period of time.

Much safer than taking a chainsaw up a ladder. Performance obviously isn't as good as a chainsaw but for me the 2.7 meter reach and the convenience out ways the performance.

Bought this to cut down my trees out the front. Better than a chain saw and much easier to use. Im 65 yr old and found it light enough to hold for a long length of time. Have used it for a month now and it still cuts through the branches like butter.

Expand-it suckers you in. Once you've bought a few attachments you're suckered in to continuing with expand-it.The way the attachment is driven by the motor is through a square drive shaft fitting into a square drive socket. The square socket wears VERY quickly and the square shaft bites into the drive socket never to be separated without damaging the shaft, drive gear or bearings.Brilliant design, works just long enough to you to think it's a good concept, you buy more attachments and then it stuffs up.
Just got this to prune a tree and was impressed with the power coming from my Ryobi 2 Stroke Line Trimmer, not too sure if the battery ones are as fast but I'm impressed and does more than what I require.
Easy connection and easy to use. As long as you are sensible about the thickness of what you are cutting the pruner works just like a mini chainsaw.
Does an amazing job! I got this to attach to a Ryobi Expand-It 36V base unit. I pruned a very large callistemon tree; some of the limbs had a diameter of 17cm and it cut through with no problems. The 36V battery was still 80% charged after a couple of hours of fairly solid use. The saw chips tend to get caught and build up under the chain spiggot cover over time, but it's very easy to dismantle and clean out with a brush.
Surprisingly good. I bought this to help clear an area where tea tree has taken over, and is also covered in blackberry vines, meaning getting in to the area with a normal chainsaw was out of the question. This saw cuts through trunks 6" in diameter with ease. I'd definitely recommend.
