This is my third blade for my edger in 2 years (the original one included with the edger being the 1st). The second blade was the regular blade and it wore done really quickly with all sharp corners being pretty much worn off within first couple of uses. Still worked ok and managed to stretch it close to 9 months given less mowing in winter - however, purchased the heavy duty one this time and have already noticed a huge difference. I've accidentally skidded it/bumped it on concrete, metal and brick and it has shown much less wear than the other one did in the same conditions. Feel like this was definitely worth the extra $10ish
Purchased online as store out of stock - delivered within 8 days, replacing the blade took 10min, works like new.
Replacement blade for Ryobi Edger. Comes with necessary tools to assist with the changeover. Blade is quite thick so generates a gap between the paving and the lawn unlike the thinner blades of petrol edgers. It need the mass to generate enough momentum to cut the grass. Replacement blades can be difficult to source for some reason. A good price is around $25 but the same item elsewhere online can be over $50.
the blades wear a bit quick, but without a doubt, a fabulous edging tool. wish i had this one years ago
"hardened steel", sure. Don't expect many cuts from this blade it wears quick and there are no alternatives.
