We took advantage of the local Bunnings doing a swap on an old battery for a new HP 8.0 battery, and swapped out a 1.5 battery which was a few years old.Marked difference with the new battery lasting much longer than the old battery, which meant we didn’t have to swap batteries over to complete the jobs that needed doing. ✅A great incentive to swap out the old batteries and certainly helped with time and getting jobs done - loved the performance

Love my ryobi tools and needed a new battery set as my previous one was over 10 years old and was just not doing the long jobs in the garden. This new battery pack is great and lasts for hours

The 8.0Ah battery is not to be underestimated when used in HP enabled tools. Makes a noticeable difference in side by side tests.

Great power, can now complete entire lawn on a single charge. Just a little pricey
Battery is pretty big and weighty so not great in all tools but offers excellent power and run times

I took advantage of Ryobi’s trade in any old 18v battery to get $50 off the price of the 8Ah battery and charger deal. This thing is a beast! It’s like my 18v mower has found another gear to use compared to the 5Ah battery. Not sure it would be so great in a drill or the secateurs, or other small hand held tool, due to the weight of the battery over extended use, but in the mower, or whipper, or blower, it’s fantastic! I’m betting it will also be awesome in the drop saw! Might have to get another?!?
