Great battery, long-lasting. The only downside is that my wife finds it difficult with her small hand, to remove the battery from the equipment having to push both sides in at the same time with one hand. Could there be an easier way. We both love Ryobi products. The Ryobi strimmers are fantastic. The best strimmer on the market in our opinion. Thank you

This is a 3.0Ah battery since the 18650 cells are 1500mah, not the advertised 4.0Ah. In order to be 4.0Ah the 18650 cells need to be 2000mah. I just bought this to see the quality of aftermarket batteries for the One+ system. Opening up the battery I find a decent sized circuit board for showing the power left when the button is pushed and decently thick wires to conduct the power needed by your tools. 10x 18650 1500mah cells in a 2+2+2+2+2 battery configuration where "2" is two cells in parallel and the "+" is each "2" set in series. Each "2" cells in parallel means 3.6v @ 3.0Ah. Adding 5 x "2" cells in series means 18v @ 3.0Ah. It's not a bad battery. Buy the genuine when they go on sale. The ryobi batteries are real Samsung or Sony cells.

Confusing battery directions and charging recommendations.
30 September 2022

I have just used the battery lightly so far. The directions that come with it state that it should be fully charged before using. Mine came showing the charge level as 3 out of 4 bars. I have 3 different Ryobi 18v chargers and this battery does not appear to be able to be charged in any of them. The charger's red power lights come on but none of the green "charging" lights come on. I've cleaned the battery terminals as the directions recommend with no results. The chargers work fine with the OEM Ryobi batteries so it is very confusing. At this point it is very difficult to accurately rate these batteries.

Dont waste your money. Buy only Ryobi batteries and not nockoffs.
6 February 2023

This is the second time I have purchased batteries from this company and in both cases they tested befective when charged on a Ryobi diagnostic charger and in all cases they tested defective. They also show photos of heavy duty batteries by send standard batteries in stead. I have been using Ryobi battery operated tools in my shop for over 20 years and own at least 20 battery operated tools. Ryobi is a very reliable company and their tools top notch but this company will give them a bad name.

Good battery but could give charging problems
26 December 2022

I gave these batteries a 4 star rating because they will only charge in one of the three Li-ion chargers that I have. I cannot figure out what the difference between the three nay be but if I plug the battery into one of the chargers the red light just flashes and ditto for the other one. The third one immediately starts charging the battery. Besides this they do well when in use and I would recommend them with that one caveat.

NOT 3.6ah but still a decent battery
30 August 2022

A little confusion since some places list this as 3.0ah while it says 3.6ah on the battery itself. I suspected it was not truly a 3.6ah (or 3.0ah) battery since it's the same size as a Ryobi brand 1.5ah battery. Through some testing, it appears to be between 1.8 and 2.0 ah. While not the capacity advertised, it is still acceptable for the price and size/weight of the battery. Cannot speak to the longevity of the battery since I have only discharged it a couple times so far.

Not as good as Original but great value for the money
11 August 2023

The Ryobi RB18L50 battery is very light compared to the original Ryobi battery. I have charged and used the battery several times and although it is great value, at the moment the battery lasts about half the time of the original. Also using it on the Ryobi Palm Sander it is 10% slower than the original. It might be that it will get better after more charges, but having said those points it is still a worth the saving from the original.

Poor capacity
25 May 2023

Product is well made and sturdy and basically mirrors the build of a genuine ryobi battery except its colour which is all black. My poor review is the fact that the battery does not last under heavy load. It is sold as a 6 Ah battery but doesnt last a quarter of the time a genuine 5 Ah ryobi model did when mowing the lawn or cutting 30mm kitchen worktops. If you are doing very light work intermittently then these batteries might suit you, but for heavier duty work then I would avoid.

Seems to do the job but too early to say if it is good value.
25 August 2023

It does the job fine but you can't positively review something like a battery until you have used it for some time but Ebay insist on pressing for a review. It seems to provide plenty power to the Ryobi tools I have used it on and curiously is marked 7AHr not the 6 as advertised. It seems decent enough quality and hasn't shown any quality issues in the very short time I have been using it. The warranty says 5 years and there doesn't appear to be any restrictions on that. If the supplier is still in business in 5 years then it looks like a big plus or perhaps they just have confidence in the product.
