Safix Scrub Pad Large

Apart from giving rise to appalling puns- this scrub pad is terrific. It looks fragile but it really does a great job of getting rid of most stubborn stains. I stopped buying products with Teflon some years ago and have a stainless steel fry pan that gets all manner of things stuck to it. This scrub pad, with a touch of elbow grease, has managed to make it nice and shiny again. The added bonus is that I don't feel so guilty and worried about the coconut fibres accidentally going down the sink. At least it's not some form of plastic that's currently wreaking havoc in our waterways.

Good product

This is mostly a very good product, and last months. Scratch free natural cleaning. After months of use, it was looking shabby and I used it to line the hole in the base of a ceramic plant pot before filling with soil. It has an afterlife! I cut the large pad in two so had about 3 months out of each small pad. So, value for money. However, the business side of this: it does tend to get ratty if snagged and food gets stuck in the scrub pad. It also doesn't clean off very dirty pans/stubborn stains/cooked on food, which I found I still needed a metal scourer or stiff coconut scrubber to do the trick depending on the material of the item being cleaned. My favourite cleaning product

One of my three dish products, this is our mainstay for cleaning. The texture and feel take a little getting used to, but it works brilliantly on most surfaces. Ever frugal, we buy the large and cut in half (which I find is a good size for my hand). It gets demoted to the bathroom once it’s scrappy (many months of use), then when threadbare into the compost. We use a stainless steel scourer for the hard core mess (hey we all make mistakes sometimes). And a home knitted from odd bits cloth when I want something really soft.

Prefer the smaller size better

Bought both small and large pads and used both for cleaning pots and dishes. I prefer using the smaller one better as it could get to nooks better. The pad will soften up after awhile and it is awesome that it doesn't produce smell after being used for awhile. At the end it will keep fraying - close to nothing and you could just chuck them on your pot plants or backyard where the tanbark is. Glad to find a great substitute for scourer that doesn't involve plastic and actually works.

Safix Coconut Fibre Scrub Pad

Ideal to scrub my ceramic kitchen sink with the use of carbonate of sodium or clean my cooker top. They are very strong, I kept my previous one over a year using it every other day at least. They are more efficient at removing sticky dirt or grease than the other velvety coconut pads.
