Steam escapes from around the door during normal cooking. If steam is escaping it's fair to assume that heat is also escaping.I would describe the Sage oven as a multi function mini oven with 2 speed fan. The air fryer function seems to do little more than activate the higher speed fan, which they term "Super convection".In short, we do use this, it is probably cheaper than using the oven and therefore saves a bit on bills, but at a purchase price of more than Β£300 it is unlikely to ever pay for itself.

We are loving this, it's so easy to use, so many different things you can cook in it and always delicious! It saves on power, we never use our electric oven anymore, well we do to store kitchen items :) therefore better on the pocket and the environment.I usually cook for two but have also cooked a meal for four with no issues. It's about the size of a microwave so not taking up loads of space and it looks good!I would definitely recommend this product, my husband calls it an air fryer but really it is much, much more.I really haven't got a bad thing to say about it really! We think it is a great buy!

Had this for about a month now and really impressed. The air frying function is brilliant, makes lovely crispy chips but it does so much more. Pretty much use this all the time now and hardly use the main oven. The toast is lovely, crumpets are different level, and even did a large stew. It is very quiet, so quiet we didn't think it was on initially. Very compact and stylish, but big enough to cook everything I have wanted so far. The light is great, means you can easily see how well done food is without opening oven and losing heat. It has exceeded my expectations by a long way. Highly recommend.

Fantastic product but cleaning !
23 January 2023

This is really useful oven. I have not used my other oven since l purchased it. Cooks quickly and l have used all of the different functions. This oven is great for a couple not sure about a larger family. Now the only problem is the quality of the tray that seems to be very thin and and not hard wearing and find it impossible to clean with elements exposed. I do not grill fatty foods in the oven but cannot remove baked on grease. Such a shame as it is a great little oven.

Pros: *Food cooks in a fraction of the time to my main oven. *Crisps bacon and chicken skin beautifully.*Good selection of preset settings.*Mostly easy to clean - quick wipe after each use.*Sits nicely on my worktop.*Looks good.Cons: *Bit fiddly to clean around the halogen lamps. Have to watch you don't catch your fingers.*Baking tray stains readily. Lots of elbow grease needed to shift these.*Need to keep an eye on the presettings. I've found food can burn if left for the full length of time.

This countertop oven Air Fryer is brilliant, I had thoughts of it being a gimmick but was I so wrong. I use it everyday and have used all the settings which are very useful, some new ones which I can't now do without, the reheat and warmer to name but two.The air fryer is a must. The food tastes brilliant and healthier, It's both quick and so easy to use, the program settings are adjustable so it doesn't take long to set to suit your own preferences. It's quicker and cheaper than my large oven.I was concerned as previous reviews mentioned "hard to clean" but I wipe any spills after use, so for me no problems. It sits on my worktop neatly and looks smart in the kitchen.Negatives....none!I would definitely buy again - and have praised this oven to friends and family.

One of the best things I ever bought!

I'd been looking at this for a while on another site where they showed a video. Although it's pricey, I figured it might save a lot of money on not using the main oven every day - OMG was I right! I've been using it about 6 weeks now and it is amazing!1. EVERYTHING cooks in at least 24-35% of the time on a grill or the oven (like bacon crisps in about 5 minutes from cold, it's insane!)2. You just select the function and somehow the timing is perfect for almost everything and you barely have to adjust it.3. Oven chips are to die for - they dont really taste like oven chips any more.4. Baking - you just have to trust the timing on your recipe and adjust the dial.5. Really clean - but put foil in the trays as the non-stick isn't very good and make sure you wash it ...Β MoreI'd been looking at this for a while on another site where they showed a video. Size - I have a tiny kitchen - it fits perfectly on top of my microwave. In the whole time I've used it i haven't put the main oven or grill on once and it honestly must have saved a fortune already because it's so fast. It does still pre-heat on some settings but I just put everything in anyway.I think I had one disaster baking but it was my fault as I messed up the setting and didnt trust the machine. Made scones last night and they were ready in 10 minutes (recipe said 15) - best scones I ever made!Best kitchen buy I ever made and long term it will more than pay for itself so long as it lasts! Highly recommend!

Perfect for our needs

This oven is super easy to use. It's very instinctive with lots of presets that you can use to cook anything from a roast to a piece of toast. It is very quick to heat up and very efficient once it's up to temperature. We have an electric Aga which has been turned off all summer because of the hot weather so we bought this so we could still cook food that requires an oven. We are a family of four and can cook enough food for all of us. However space is limited. Once you have a roast chicken in, there really isn't much space for anything else. I have a stand alone air fryer so roast potatoes go in there while the chicken is in the oven. Would highly recommend.

Simply AMAZING !!
11 December 2022

Purchased this Sage Airfryer about two months ago. We were a little unsure at first but have steadily go to grips with a new way of cooking our food. Suffice to say that now our gas oven and hob is virtually redundant, roast diners are easy enough, vegetables, chips, pizza, toast to name but a few are dealt with easily by this amazing machine. We have only used a few of the functions on the Sage but we looking forward to our first cake! This piece of kit is more expensive than most of the air fryers out there, but you get what you pay for. This machine is far more capable than most other air fryers and if you are looking to save on costs then I highly recommend this machine.

Pros: Tried a few functions .The air fryer is excellent .We have done chicken steaks and wedges from frozen .It takes 30 mins including the 15 minute warm up . The pizza function is good but only if you cook the pizza on its own .If you add another tray you end up with the base not cooking . We have done frozen pies on the bake setting and again they were cooked nicely in 30 .mins .Overall a good multifunctional bit of kit .Cons: The grill tray should be wider rather than having to place it on the baking tray . However the grill tray does fit exactly into the chip rack , useful to know .
