I don't think it will be much of a change from the previous series.However, I liked the series and it was fine with me.However, I face bugs quite often.There were many times when I had to wrap my head around this.If you are thinking about buying this game, you should be a little prepared for that problem.It was Saints Row, for better or worse.

Far and away the worst Saints game. Maybe even the worst GTA-type. Saints Row 2, Saints Row 3, even the much-loathed Saints Row 4 are far superior by every measure, and can be bought for 1/10th the cost of this game. Play them instead.

I think this game got bad wrap. I mean I feel it plays more like the first 3 titles and the humor is on par with those as well. I feel the game is fun and is a more arcade style GTA game. I think if you like the first 3 saints row games this one is good as well.

I was expecting to feel lukewarm to this entry in the SR franchise after only somewhat enjoying 3 and being pretty indifferent to 4, but I'm enjoying the heck out of this game. It has the vibes of 2 with the smooth visuals of 4.The side missions are engaging and feel far less repetitive than in previous games, and the Criminal Ventures are a lot of fun.The map feels more compact and much more alive, and playing an SR game in a new city is great. After 2 games, Steelport was getting stale.Some minor things: menus could be snappier and there are still some issues with my character's clothing and tattoos being unequipped. Once a checkpoint didn't occur and I had to redo a mission. But these niggles are minor and I expect they will be fixed in time.

This game is if you take a 2010 open world but then strip out any physics, shooting mechanics and fun story in place of janky weirdly created systems that created one of the worst games to date. Coop does not work and its more bug then game. Do not buy

Another saints row classic

If you loved the more recent saints row games with some hints of nostalgia from the past games this is the perfect game to play. The game is fun, the humour is pretty solid and the missions are enjoyable. There are a fair few bugs but nothing that's completely broken my game so far. The bugs are slowly being fixed so if you want to take the chance it's definitely worth it. It's a game that fits in that category of had a lot of fun and would play it again

Broken Mess

Bought this game on launch and I did begin to like it at the start but after few hours of playing I had to stop playing it. The gameplay was quite fun but it got boring after a while, but what makes this game awful is its bugs, infinite loading screen glitches and very bad writing.The game was a let down and feels like this is now officially the end to the saints row franchise. Saints Row 2 is still the best saints row game imo

Complete trash

Worst open world sandbox I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. The characters are the type of people Johnny Gat would bully at school, and their cringeworthy hello fellow kids dialogue makes playing with the sound on almost insufferable.The world is empty and bland, new activities are terribly designed unless you like carting things from point A to point B over and over again, and the missions and story are underwhelming and forgettable and often nonsensical. Any comparisons to previous Saints Row games are ridiculous unless you're comparing the outdated graphics and gameplay.Avoid like the plague even if you hate yourself.

Don't listen to the Haters....

I kept an open mind when this came out, and am very surprised at how good it is... full character customization is a hoot, not to mention you can have 24 different personas and change and change them at any time. This game is fun, and if you're looking for something like GTA5 but with a giggle, this is it !

Great fun

I got this on day one but didn't get a chance to play it until February. I really had fun with this game. I liked the characters and most of the challenges. Definitely worth the money for a lot of car fun, senseless violence and the amazing soundtrack.
