I did not care for It Takes Two by Sally Hansen. I bought shade 950 Quartz Kisses. Three coats in you can still see the whites of my nails underneath. The applicator /bottle is top heavy, like awkwardly top heavy. I felt like I was going to dump it at any point. I bought this thinking it would be good for travel. The fear of spilling it everywhere other than your own home is even worse. I'd be more comfortable with a regular bottle of polish top coat. This was a miss for me!

There is a lot that I like about this “It Takes Two” Miracle Gel nail polish and top coat. First, the color! I’m wearing Sugar Fix which is a bright, powdery blue perfect for summer! Second, I like the size and convenience of this tube; perfect to fit in your bag and have a mani-on-the-go! One side has the color and the other a top coat. Thirdly, no base coat needed! Now one thing I think needs improvement: it states to apply two color coats, wait five minutes, then apply the gel top coat. I waited slightly longer but when I applied the top coat, two of my nails smeared because I pressed too hard with the brush. It wasn’t terrible but something to be aware of. I simply re-applied on those areas and it dried fine. Also, you’ll need to hold onto the base of the tube as you’re applying or else it might fall over as you dip the brush in. This isn’t so much a needed improvement but rather the outcome of the sleek tube design. I’ve read a lot of reviews on this product and most of them seem to be color-related. I obviously can only speak to the color I used which went on decent the first coat and fully covered with the second. This does last a few days without heavy chipping. You get minor wear at the tips but I found this to last longer than a typical nail polish. If you follow me, I’d like to first say thank you so much! I have fine, thick hair with highlights. I feel like my ends sometimes get dry, so I thought this would be a great mask for hydration. It left my hair super flat and looking and feeling so dirty / greasy. I followed the directions and rinsed it out thoroughly. My hair felt sort of different after rinsing, but I figured that was just the smoothing / hydrating aspect of the mask at work. Maybe this would be good for someone with coarser hair texture, but it definitely doesn't work for me. I'm so disappointed, as I usually love Wella products. My hair looks and feels so gross, I may end up rewashing it. For the price, this will definitely be getting returned.

Color pot was dried out, thick and chunky
25 November 2022

I bought rain-glow yesterday. I unwrapped the plastic, so I know it was brand new, and started to do step one. The first couple nails were challenging because the color seemed quite thick. It did not go on smooth. By the time I got to the third nail I realized there was something very wrong with the color and this was not going to go well. The color was mostly thick, chunky, and would not go on smooth. I tried out step two just to see if that side was also dried up, but that side was perfectly fine. Pretty bummed about this because it’s actually a really cool product.

I see the difference
9 June 2022

During the hair sale I purchased 3 different Repair Masks and by far this is truly the only one I actually see something. Usually with hair masks I do not see the improvements I only feel my hair softer. With the Wella FusionPlex my hair dries shiny and smooth. I have wavy hair and my waves look so shiny with no frizz. For reference my hair has been highlighted and I tend to use hot tools almost daily causing dryness and frizz. I also have natural medium to thick hair with a natural wave, brown with some grays coming through and mid length with dry ends, specially the face framing hair being the worst. I use this product 2 a week leaving it in for 20+ minutes wrapped with a towel and rinse with cool to cold water. Then I towel dry my hair, comb it with a wide tooth ... MoreDuring the hair sale I purchased 3 different Repair Masks and by far this is truly the only one I actually see something. If you hated this listen up
3 February 2023

K so hairdresser YouTube told me to buy this, I got it at my local Ulta, put it on my dyed damage hair for 45 minutes, washed it out and was so so so disappointed. It was greasy, still felt dry, made my hands sticky, no shine and I was pisssed. Today I was so jazzed to shower so I could wash the residue out of my hair. I used drug store shampoo and conditioner (don't judge me) and afterwards my hair was totally changed. It air dried with 0 frizz, my fried black to blonde to black to brown ends look like they're back to total health, I feel like I could blind someone with the shine, it's soft. I'm not sure why this mask needed to be shampooed out, I feel like that's atypical and maybe an extra step you don't want to do, but I love my hair now and I'll def buy this again.

Love the idea hate the brush
1 May 2022

Love the idea of it and this colour is just gorgeous. However the brushes in this (maybe i got a dodgy one) but it left a lot of streaks and didn’t apply smoothly and did have a few straggler hairs which made a mess. Other than that the shape of the brush is great for around the cuticles. Not much product but I guess that’s the purpose for it to be travel friendly. I actually really like this and the colour is stunning in 2 coats (a little streaky because of the brush) I will keep buying and see if it’s a common thing but I really like it and they dry fast 2 coats polish 2 top coat 10 minutes fry time total

My insanely damaged hair feels HEALTHY again
1 March 2023

I never leave reviews but I ran here. A few weeks ago, I decided to bleach my natural level 2 hair (sorry Brad Mondo) and ended up with a combination of pale blonde, orange, and pink hair. It looked so bad and I covered it with dark color immediately, but worst of all, my hair felt incredibly crunchy and was obviously super damaged. I bought this with low expectations since I've used other repair masks that claimed great results.WOW. I was speechless when I started rinsing my hair. It combed so easily and it air dried to the softest hair I've felt in nearly 15 years. It did exactly what other masks at this price point failed to do for me. Please go buy this if you have damaged hair. It saved mine.

Over very damaged nails. Incredible results.

I applied my first Miracle Gel, color 'Saturn it Up'. One week and absolutely no chips. It was even difficult to file with my Revlon file boards. My nails were destroyed 2 weeks ago when my Gel soak off polish would not come off after soaking my fingers for 15 minutes in acetone. I had to slowly peel them and then soak again to no avail. So with damaged and paper thin nails I tried the miracle. I did 3 coats but they were super thick. There was a little distortion under the top get. The top gel dried great but step one wasn't dry all the way. I'm going to do the process again even though I don't need to. I bought several other colors and have decided to give myself permission to change colors every week! I am thrilled after trying the gels. My nails can now grow out for several months and have some length and be beautiful. Now I just want to figure out how to do 'ombre' nails with this product.

Perfect duo size for someone who occassionally does nails!

I tried this out in the pink color Rain and really liked it. I don’t do my nails myself often and most times the product goes bad or gets dried up long before I have ever used a fraction of the bottle. So I toss a ten dollar and up bottle put to the trash. I think this duo is perfect. I have and keep short nails. I cut and file and buff them myself and have since the start of the pandemic. I have not been to a salon in nearly 2 years. If I get 2-3 or even 4-5 times out of these, then it’s worth it to me. It lasted on my nails one week before I saw wear and I removed it at the 14 day mark. I clean and do dishes and use my hands all day, plus washing. I put them through a lot. Personally I like them. You might have to get a more intense polish remover,. I have one without acetone and it took forever to get the color off. Lol. So I might buy a stronger remover, aside from that, it’s a pretty sweet minimal little package. Easy and simple. I’m no professional, they came out ok. I’m sure a salon can do better, but that’s splitting hairs at that point. We have all had a bad experience here and there with that.
