Super happy with this purchase. I got it with my birthday money to assist me with my new hobby of running. Super useful with all of the pockets/compartments (to store your phone, ear phones, snacks etc) and it is very comfortable and easy to wear. It comes with two water bottles which are super handy for longer distances. Would recommend for anyone starting up running or even just wanting to be active.

After starting trail running and seeing the racing requirements and possible dangers, I gave in and bought this vest to try out. My biggest regret now is that I didn't buy one years ago. I can barely feel it on me when I run. The little extra weight has never slowed me down yet. I also love having the water flasks close to my mouth. This has made my running much easier and enjoyable. Wasn't sure how I would like wearing a vest. It's been great from the start. Zero complaints and easy to adjust. Plenty of storage and the large pocket on the back seems to have a dwr coating. Only reason for 4/5 stars it seems to be a bit warm with 80° Temps but maybe that's part of wearing a vest. Hats off to Salomon for a great product.

I'm a 6'4, 210lb hybrid athlete and decided I'd finally invest in a hydration vest for my first Ultra (and training). I got the XL in blue and have been pleasantly surprised with it. The 4l size has been enough to store the water bottles (in the front of the vest), gels and nutrition for running in the front pockets, and a light windbreaker in the back. If you want to carry more than that, it might be worth it to upgrade to a bigger size, but the 4l works for me. No issues with rubbing while running, even when shirtless. Love the adjustment strap system in the front too.
I've had mine for 1 and a half seasons and see only a little wear on the pocket I put my phone into, but considering how often I pull it out to take pictures, it's completely acceptable. There's enough storage for a few of hours away from civilization with two shoft flasks and lots of snacks packed. I also carry a small first aid kit when I'm running trails deep in the woods.Everything feels balanced and there is very little bounce even fully loaded.Great pack, but be ready for minimal storage. ( But it's in the name so that goes without saying)
Great way to carry everything you need for a long run. The compartments show Salomon have thought of everything!Only problem I have had with it is during a race last weekend. It really rubbed my collar bone and has resulted in a wound with a scab. I was carrying quite a lot so I wonder if this caused the issue, or maybe I need a small rather than a medium to stop it moving as much on a faster run.
I bought this last year when I started trail running. I have also used it occasionally for long xc skis because it is so easy to stow stuff but also i can easily access water and snacks from the front pockets. I am a sweaty runner, no issues with rubbing anywhere and it doesn't jostle. Great value!
I have gone on a few long runs (16+ miles each time) with this vest and it was so comfortable! I love the water bottles. It has a lot of storage and the pockets are easy to access while running. I forget that I have it on. It sits close to my body without feeling like it is squeezing me. I am very happy with my purchase.
Grabbed this pack mainly for hydration and food storage for those long, high mileage days. The side pockets can easily fit your larger items and solid foods while the zippered front pocket is the perfect storage for gels and extra electrolytes. The two included bottles sit nice and far down in the pockets and the little drawcord to keep the bottle top flush is a nice touch. This pack does not move on by back. Coming from M/L UD packs the M fit me just fine. I am a slim guy up top so the M fits just perfect. If you have any build in the upper body, size up to a L.
Perfect for my long runs, plenty of storage area (including at the back - start my early morning run in layers (Melbourne Winter) and have lots of space to keep them whilst I continue) + love the soft flasks which are easy to drink from whilst running. Longest run I've used it for so far has been a half, with a full to train for before October. Can't wait to get my money's worth, this is a really great product.
