I tried a bunch of different vests and running hydration belts, and this is by-far the best one. It is extremely lightweight and does not bounce around at all while running. The two bottle flasks are very flexible, so as you drink from them, you can push them further down into the pockets and they virtually disappear. I also love the fact that you can put your phone in the back pocket, which makes the phone sit on your upper low back. It doesn't move around at all and you forget you even have it with you. The ability to carry a water bladder outweighed the lighter, cooler fabric in the sense pro 5 (the other model I was considering).

I’m a female and my bra size is 34 C. After reading reviews I was not sure if I should get the woman or the unisex. I opted for the unisex and here’s why. I read a review of the woman’s fit saying that there was only one space in the back for bladder and any other storage. And as for measurements and fitting, I measured around my chest at the largest spot and I was 37 inches exactly and the size small is perfect in terms of fit. I can even fit the water flasks in the front and the water bladder in the back and pack a light jacket and this is still comfortable to wear. I hope this helps someone make their decision.

I have read a lot of different opinions on different forums, people sometimes recommend to go up, some people say to go down in size. As I was trying on M and L, and could compare (still without testing it outside 'in action') which one is/should be better. L was very comfortable, M was a bit tight and I had impression that perhaps it is too small. Finally I have selected M - what helped me to make such decision? I thought if I will be running 3+ hours during one session I need something which doesn't move and rub my skin. So it needs to be tight and snug. All in all - if somebody will ask me - should I go up or down when I'm at the edge of sizes - I will always recommend to go down. PS - the vest is really great and has fantastic quality. Heck with it.There are a lot of cheaper options out there, but given how long I intend to have this, buying cheaper wasn't a good idea. There's so little bounce to everything, even full. I brought layers in case I got stranded out, headlight, water, snacks, cell, rain gear, etc. It felt a lot heavier in my hand than it did wearing it.

I was between sizes XS and S because my chest size falls on the upper limit for XS according to the size chart, but I was afraid it would be too tight. It was also confusing that the female model shown on photos is using a size M even though her chest size also falls within limits for XS, so not much help. But on the actual race day I pretty much forgot about it, and it is easier to reach for stuff on the vest vs a belt. That said, I've only used it with short sleeves shirts, I'm a bit weary about using it with sleeveless shirts as the inside fabric is not so soft as the outside one, but I still have to try and see.
I've been using this vest for about a month now going from a belt system. I don't think I would ever go back to belt hydration systems only because you don't feel it on you. It's a bit heavy when you have 2.5 litres of water (2 x 500ml and 1 x 1.5l) when you put it on. But it literaly takes seconds and you don't even notice you have it on anymore. Love all the pockets. I haven't ran yet in the high temperatures yet but at 20°C it was still very confortable. Looking forward to trying it on a half day mountain hike. Just check your size properly or try it in store first as I bought Large and it just didn't feel confortable. When I got XL, it was night and day.
I didn't know packs could be this good. I used a certain two-worded competitor brand for several years (two different models), and just assumed they were the best I could get for training and racing. One was designed specifically for racing and was a poor experience during 50/100ks due to bouncing and chafing. This pack blows those two out of the water. It's seamless, light and I experience no bouncing whatsoever with two full bottles on the front (I alternate between two Hydrapaks and the Salomon ones this came with, same slim dimensions/capacity and both work great). No need for bottle straws given how ergonomically the bottle pockets are placed.The number of pockets and their placement works well for me - routinely carry phone, small thing of bear spray, key, ... I hemmed and hawed over running vests for a long time...probably too long entirely in my training block. I originally purchased a cheap version and got what I paid for. After recognizing my need for larger flasks and a non-bouncy, comfortable option, I read so many subreddits and forums about what to pick. I went with Salomon based on my needs, level, and budget. I'm really happy with this vest and am excited to use it during my first marathon! I recommend measuring properly and ordering accordingly; I have had no issues with the fabric irritating my skin as many other reviews mentioned, but I was intentional to measure properly before ordering. Absolutely recommend!
