Given how lightweight the jacket is, it is amazing how well it shreds the rain. While not 100% "waterproof" it meets all of the needs of an "active" rain jacket in light to moderate showers. The fit is nice an slim and the design is simple - - it is a very well balanced jacket and the quality of stitching is in line with Salamon's quality.

Just purchased this jacket. The inside feels like rubber and breathes like a rubber jacket. No worries about it shedding rain as you get soaked from the inside so who cares. Very disappointing considering the price. Yikes.

I used this jacket to hike up Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver BC last winter at freezing temperatures. It kept me warm without overheating. Its not waterproof. It breathes well and it's not bulky at all. Fit is great, true to size. Really happy with this purchase for those cold hikes in winter. Salomon makes some solid gear, totally recommend it

I did a lot of research into jackets because I wanted something that was suitable for distance running and to unstable why these jackets are so expensive. From my shortlist of 2 I went with Salomon because the price at Athlete’s Foot was way cheaper than anywhere else. The jacket is super light but wind and water proof with well taped seams. Cut is very well fitted but not tight and the material moves with your body really well. The full zip is perfect for controlling airflow and a tab across the chest keeps the jacket from flapping open. The hood, sleeve and bottom seam have elastic to help keep things in place and it is just the right amount of stretch. Pocket is perfect for a phone and the whole thing folds into the pocket for storage. Really good piece of kit.
I purchased this after extensive research for winter running in Montreal. Couldn't be happier with it and it will probably replace all my other waterproofs. Very breathable and works well at -20 degrees with ample layers of merino or other salomon underneath. Well worth the investment.
Typical Salomon quality. Light weight, breathable and wind/water resistant. Exactly as I expected. Fit is snug/athletic just as I would expect for this type of jacket for training purposes. Not many pockets (just one) but sufficient to carry a phone or keys.Look, feel and colour (orange/fire red) is outstanding!Jacket material is very thin and packable. Only question remaining is how well it will last with regular use.
Very light jacket, easy to fold and store in your pack. The fit and quality are great. The only downside is that there's only one small pocket on the chest. I would have liked maybe an extra pocket or two. Overall, I highly recommend it.
Best jacket to stay dry and warm in the rain. I still remember the day I ran in down pour rain in this jacket and my inner layer still stayed dry. It might be warm to run in in the summer though but it can definitely also keep you warm in the coldest day of winter.
The athletic fit is great for athletic builds. I don't like a lot of spare around the waist and this fits quite well.The chest pocket also fits pretty big phones. I've fit an iPhone X and Pixel 2 (not at the same time).The hood feels secure even without adjustment. I haven't used it in heavy downpour, but it keeps me quite dry.The only downsides:- the zipper is a bit stiff. Needs two hands for sure.- I wish there was more reflectivity on the back- expensive
Ran in 10-40 degree rain/sleet/snow training sessions in this- extremely waterproof, to the sense that I had to often take this off as I would be baking in it after running.Light weight, easy to store, comfortable. Highly recommend.
