Have come to depend on Solomon for my hiking boots. This latest one is really lightweight and with the usual comfort from the start and high quality to handle the wet and rough terrain of the Irish mountains.
I was so disappointed to have to return these. The boots look very smart and durable, and they are aslo waterproof. Just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, although they were the correct length for my feet, they were too narrow at the toes.
Very good shoe with the best quality and comfort.
Been very unhappy with boots over the years but these seem to be the solution! Not for them soaking wet as such but early use is very encouraging

I prefer salomon x ultra 3 mid gtx over x ultra 4 mid gtx, and the salomon x ultra pioneer mid gtx are almost the same as version 3. They fit my foot great, i'm glad i got them.
