These are my 3rd generation pair of these, absolutely love them for trail running. Because of the thick tread they are not the best for pavement. But they are excellent for gravel and forest trails.
Bought this for hiking. Very grippy. Great on different types of terrain. Good value.
I have been using speed cross for OCR's for years and wanted something different for training. Super cross is the one I decided to go to and I am not disappointed.
Not a bad shoe but not the usual quality that I am used to from Salomon. They are light weight but I feel they have skimped a bit on the materials to achieve this. The sole is a little thin also so you can feel a bit of the terrain under foot.
Great comfort with spring in every step ! ....total black out colour...pity no off set colour for bling...but truly functional and no tying up laces !Great tread and use for daily walking to work. Well recommended as I have the superceded model Supercross 3.

I've used these shoes now for a couple of weeks. I have a previous pair of Salomon Speed Cross 4 trail running shoes that are a good size for my EE width feet. After I was diagnosed with psoriatric arthritis in my hands, I came to appreciate the quick lace system in the Salomon shoes.I first bought a pair of the SpeedCross 5 and was very disappointed that they had been redesigned to be so narrow that they were not possible for me to even wear. I read a review that the Supercross 4 might be okay for wider feet. I find that the size 11.5 Supercross 4 is a little narrower than the 11.5 SpeedCross 4 that I had. But they seem to be breaking in and are no longer painful to wear. They are a little higher profile and so they have some instability for me. I've loved all of my Salomon shoes. These ones are a little long in their shape, but still fit well (I have narrow feet). The treads wear too fast, but they are very grippy when they are there.
