Very comfy, watertight so far had to have the last two pairs replaced under warranty after a year or so, so fingers crossed with these.

Bought these to replace a three year old pair of Cross Over hiking shoes (still usable but looking worn). Good snug but comfortable fit. Excellent grip - even on relatively steep grassy slopes. Much prefer the Quicklace system to normal laces and they don't loosen off (or come untied....) in use. Very pleased so far.

I’ve bought into the gtx family of shoes for my last 3 pairs, and was disappointed by the last pair when I moved to the gtx4; they took ages to break in at the heel and then cracked at the toe area.Thankfully Salomon seem to have addressed the short comings of the gtx4 design by going back to the excellent uppers of the gtx3, and it makes a massive differenceComfortable from new, combined with a great sole, excellent quality and speed lacing make this a must buy for me.Please keep them this way now Salomon!

Everything received in good condition.Good size
I had these shoes previously. Most comfortable walking shoes I've ever had and when it's a bit slippery underfoot they are great. Love the laces too. I'm actually female but buy the male version as the extra width allows for these funny old shaped feet of mine!
