Don't underestimate this speaker because of its size- it produces a pretty big sound. The sound comes out clear and is well-balanced between treble and bass. The only time the sound quality is sacrificed is when you run a mic directly through it. Otherwise, this speaker is easy to take with you wherever you need and is a reliable option in a variety of performance situations. This is a real hands-on product review from Sean @ Sam Ash Cerritos.

Our 5-piece classic rock band uses these as our main PA speakers. (We use 2 Samson Auro D412s for monitors.) We have used them for outdoor festivals and indoor gigs, and we are quite happy with them overall. For the large outdoor gigs, they are nice and clear at maximum volume, but not overpowering. If you play a lot of outdoor gigs, you will probably want to get a subwoofer to take some of the bass load off them. For indoor gigs, they have been excellent--extremely clear, and plenty loud. They do tend to be a little bright-sounding, so you will want to adjust their highs and lows accordingly. Overall, we are very pleased with the crisp, clear sound and volume levels, especially for the price.

These work great for small bands, singer-songwriters, DJs and rehearsal spaces. They are light weight which makes them easy to carry from gig to gig and mount on poles. Perfect for coffee shop and other intimate performances. This is a real hands on review by Natha@Sam Ash Canoga Park.
Great portable powered speaker by Samson!!Lightweight and delivers and nice 200 watt output.Great for small applications, and presentations.Great for gigs, weddings, parties, and Djs."This is a real hands-on product review from Billy@Sam Ash Orlando"
These make great stage monitors for pretty much every show I play. DJs love them because they give a good range of sound from lows to highs and because they don't take up much space in the booth. A lot of bands have really liked them for the same space saving feature so they can place them around the stage near the person who needs them the most. I couldn't be happier with everything these speakers offer.
I just purchased this speaker at my local Sam Ash Music Store. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted but I did know that I needed some type of powered monitor for my Samson Expedition 308i system. I originally used a small Kustom powered speaker and that broke down after about a month. So far I am happy with this speaker. It is small but that does not take away from the sound strength. It has a decent bottom sound for a small speaker, more than you'd get out of a passive speaker of the same size. The only thing that I do not like about this speaker is that it's really not good for running a microphone directly through it. When you try to run a mic through it you have to turn the volume up very high and it clips and/or feeds back. I don't use it for this reason so it ... I don't use it for this reason so it does not affect me but if you are looking for a powered speaker to use for any kind of speaking events this is probably not the way to go. For this reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I really am happy with the sound it produces.
For less than $300 you can get a decent powered 15" speaker. That sound pretty good and really get the job done. Great for someone starting their first pa system whether its a struggling band, someone needs dependable speakers for backups or any other scenario out there.Lee @ Sam Ash Cincinnati
I thought these might be a fun addition to my shoe collection and I was thrilled to find out I was right! The d'Orsay style is a little more sexy than a classic pump and with the addition of the gold metallic sheen and metal trim around the toe these are meant for a night out! Price made it easy! I did need to return for a 1/2 size smaller. For this kind of shoe I found it very comfortable. This is a buy!
I'm real happy with this product overall. It's my second one of these. They play pretty loud for their size, but just as important, they don't really need EQ, you can set the tone controls flat and they sound great. I use these for jazz groups, usually amplifying miked singers and horn players, occasionally with some other instruments mixed in, and for casuals up to a couple hundred people they easily get the job done.
