The positive - light, spacious, well engineered, nice wheels. Overall very happy pushing it around the airport. We had a substantial dent on our last flight but once we pushed it back it resumed its shape soon after. We bought a pair several months ago and were really fond if its appearance. But it is the first thing that we came to regret as well. First of, the suitcases are extremely scratch-prone. There is some kind of top folio layer that make the "skin" quite slippery and supposedly, reduce occasions when suitcase gets scratched. But it is exactly the opposite - the "skin" gets horrendous scratches even after light use. Ours looked terrible after the first leg of a journey and so far have only accumulated 4 flights in total, we simply went back to using our old suitcases sparing these for instances where we really need to pack more luggage. Secondly, the slippery "skin' also makes it quite frustrating to use in tight spaces as the suitcase would simply slip, hit objects around if you try opening it on one side only. Actually, it is nearly impossible to load/unload if not laying on both its sides, fully open. The slippery problems continue as you try picking it up to, say, load in a car. You can only do that holding the handles. Grabbing the bottom part to help yourself pick it up typically results in suitcase being dropped with various damages to cars/ people. You simply lose you grip, one would never think of an issue like this unless experiencing it. We had this problem personally as well as with some taxi drivers.Overall, none of this is deal-breaker for many. But I would not buy them again. I was sold on the looks and it proved us wrong. And then the fact you need to consider where you open it and how to pick it up...simply drives me nuts.

Do not buy this luggage in blue. I used this bag for two round trip flights, 6 flight segments total, flying first class with priority baggage handling. It is badly scratched. I thought buying the premium line would ensure a high level of quality but it looks bad after such a short amount of use. I was advised to take it to a store to ship to Samsonite or ship it myself for a manufacturer's defect review, both options at my cost. The closest store is 44 miles from me. Ugh. I noticed that the only reviews mentioning scratching are recent reviews. Perhaps something has changed in the manufacturing process that now enables easy scratching. Check it out Samsonite, don't make me do the work. I also ordered a larger bag in gold that traveled the same routes. It is ... MoreDo not buy this luggage in blue. It is scratched but not nearly as much and doesn't show the scratches because of the color. I love how light weight the luggage is but other than that I'm very disappointed in this product. What you see in my photos is not dirt, it's as if the color is wearing off. Too bad because it is a beautiful color of blue.

When I bought this suitcase in Petrol Blue I was so excited as it looked so good when it arrived! The personalisation is a nice touch.Unfortunately the positivity ends here. Had this suitcase stored away since purchase and recently used it for the first time. With horror did I already observe all the scratches from the suitcase being slided into a cupboard for storage. My C-lite which I used extensively [like over 100 times] does not look this bad. After just one trip to Europe the suitcase now looks tired with loads of scratches and paint peeling off in places. The plastic seal was damaged on the very first flight and just looks horrible now.Extremely disappointed! Considering getting my 8 year old C-lite back out, it's in better condition. Can't even imagine ... MoreWhen I bought this suitcase in Petrol Blue I was so excited as it looked so good when it arrived! I wanted to love this suitcase. I purchased the 75cm for a big trip and a cruise. The cruise went well, but did not involve air travel so it was handled very gently.I recently took it on a month long Europe trip and from day 1 caused me stress. The front half of the suitcase is very delicate and soft. It arrived very dented in the centre front from the at baggage claim, and while popped back into shape I was not impressed. On later flights the corners were dented, and again popped back into shape - but with some wear/stress to the material. On further inspection of the case, the front half does not seem as solid or strong as the back half with the handle. The material feels a lot thinner in the front. I did not feel comfortable putting anything mildly delicate in ... MoreI wanted to love this suitcase. I purchased the 75cm for a big trip and a cruise. I did not feel comfortable putting anything mildly delicate in this suitcase at all.I used to have a Firelite Spinner case, that eventually had to be replaced after many years and many many trips. That case held up so much better and never dented, and always felt sturdy.I purchased the 55cm as well, and haven't had the same issues, maybe because its a smaller surface area. I would not recommend the Proxis in the larger size. Save yourself the stress/headache.
This is a fantastic suitcase if you are traveling for a week or so. I’ve always been of the mindset that if you’re going to buy luggage, you might as well buy the biggest suitcase acceptable for airplane travel, so it gives you the most packing options. Having said that, if you’re not traveling for weeks, there’s no reason to have an unnecessarily large suitcase. This is the perfect size for about of weeks worth of travel. Two things I like best:1. I love the outer shell to protect, protect everything inside.2. I love the ease of used to push it around the airport as the wheels are incredibly smooth.I highly recommend this size suitcase again if you need some for a week plus your minus desire, something easy, easy to use, and will protect everything inside.
This Samsonite Proxis Carry-On Spinner is so lightweight you will not believe it. The outer shell appears to be inadequate but is quite the opposite. It withstands significant wear and tear especially with the way luggage gets tossed around by the airlines. The wheels are made of sturdy rubber for a smooth experience as you move about the airport. The extended handle operates with ease and is quite long to reach various heights as needed. The best part is when you go to place this in the overhead bin, you will not be struggling with the weight of the suitcase. This suitcase also comes with the TSA Security Key lock so that TSA can access your bag if they need to do so. The bag is expandable to accommodate those times when you need to pack it fairly tight. One ... MoreThis Samsonite Proxis Carry-On Spinner is so lightweight you will not believe it. Wow, I have to say this is the roomiest suitcase I’ve ever had. I could pack half again from my other case(old school style) and still have a bit of room. Amazing. The straps that hold clothing in place is nice. I like that it’s an X shape so more is held down. The straps are only on one side though.( I think both side need them personally. ) The big zipper section on one side is great but there are no smaller pockets to keep smaller items from moving all about. It rolls very smoothly with the traveling handle or when just upright using the hand grip. The handle was easy to pull up and put down and sits pretty flush. The zipper was different . That it is used to lock the case was kind of cool. I worry if it breaks during a flight, will I still be able to open the ... MoreWow, I have to say this is the roomiest suitcase I’ve ever had. I'm so excited to use this for my next trip and am excited to see how well it holds up over some rough cobblestone streets. My last carry on was pretty bottom of the line and Rome's streets tore it to pieces. You can definitely feel the difference in quality in this Samsonite. The wheels just glide SO effortlessly and the zippers are smooth- no catching at all. It has two main compartments, a smaller mesh front pocket and a pocket for a charger that you can plug in and then use the USB on the outside of the suitcase to charge your phone. Pretty handy! The lock tripped me up at first- the TSA lock can slide over, releasing the zippers. Then you can set up your own combination- I just wish those instructions were outside of the suitcase rather than inside as I was ... MoreI'm so excited to use this for my next trip and am excited to see how well it holds up over some rough cobblestone streets. I'm glad that the size meets nearly all airline requirements however, and there is an expandable zipper in case I need to pack more things. So very pleased with this Samsonite and I'll update once it makes it's first journey!

This carry-on is the perfect size to get you on the plane and go the color makes it very easy to find and it doesn’t get lost in the sea of carry-on. I was shocked at how much stuff I can put in here and still board the plane. It was very easy to use. I didn’t think I would need the power bank that is part of the system but I did, I was able to charge my phone in the Uber on the way to the hotel. Courtesy of the power bank. Love the fact that , it’s effortless and my carry-on clothing and important items are secure. Even my son used it for his overnight trip and he was quite please. The only complicated part was resetting the lock, the pamphlet is found inside of the actual carry-on bag on how to reset. The two locks you have to press down to where it says lock to unlock it.
