Samsonite Omni 28" Hardside Spinner - Teal

This is a classic high quality brand with excellent products. For luggage the price/quality ratio is excellent. I have purchased many products from this brand through the years and they literally last forever! Besides the design is remarkable. I have several old bags and suitcases that I can’t replace because I can’t find a decent design that I like as much. Is an excellent brand and I definitely recommend it.

Samsonit's products are always of high quality and durability. I have 5 bags of the brand of different sizes and I have never had any problems. The wheels are highly resistant and durable, the bags are made of a light and ultra-resistant material, the zipper is well sewn and the padlock that comes with them are extremely resistant and easy to use. I recommend!

We travel a lot - outside of 2020 it was typically 6-7 trips per year! We were gifted this suitcase for our wedding 4 years ago and it has stood the test of time, gone on multiple domestic trips and multiple international ones. I would buy a second one if we needed in a heart beat. It is durable and expands to fit everything we need. The addition of packing cubes isn't needed but I highly recommend it!

My current favourite suitcase. Bought this for my last trip to the Bahamas and Galápagos Islands. Had another carry on luggage but they were showing some wear so decided to get the Samsonite carry on and the larger suitcase for my husband. I love that it is a hard case because I’ve witnessed how the employees load luggages onto the aircraft- they launch luggage with little to no care. This tiny carry on fit our family of 4 snacks, 10 days worth of my bathing suits plus covers, and my clear bag of toiletries. I don’t know how cause it looks so compact but it all fit. I did pack my heels in my hubby’s checked luggage though cause those were 4” heels. It is sturdy and the wheels glide so effortlessly! Recommended to my friends and bought a set for my son.

All around great

Several years ago my husband and I bought all three sizes of this suitcase for 2 weeks in Italy. At the time we bought 2 mediums thinking they'd be the best size for us. Well, we love the suitcases and in the years since Italy, have found ourselves often both needing the carry-on size. So, we just bought a second carry-on size. Very happy that they were still making them! They glide and spin smoothly, you can sit your personal item/purse on top easily, and the inside is designed well. Oh, and they can be nested for storage in the garage. All around great.

Are spinner wheels that important - absolutely

I had read some reviews of people saying the spinner wheels weren’t that that great but thought it could be something that either I could overlook or not care that much about. I just took it on an international trip and I cannot tell you how much it actually mattered. The wheels aren’t really the 360-spinner easy glide, they are similar to shopping cart wheels in that they have to be facing the direction you want to push the suitcase. By the end of the trip my shoulder was killing me from struggling constantly trying to maneuver the suitcase to glide forward and ultimately completely stopped using it as a glider and ended up just pulling it along on two wheels - which probably made my shoulder feel worse. For this brand and this price point, this small feature should be a slam dunk no problem - but unfortunately it’s not.The plus side is that for its size it is roomy and I surprisingly fit more clothing and items than I had anticipated in a carry on. It also fit easily in overhead compartments.But due to the wheel issue I see myself passing on using this suitcase again and will just use others that I already own that actually glide, which is super disappointing.

Defective Luggage Handle

Dear Samsonite Customer Service Team,I am disappointment and frustrated with the quality of one of your products, specifically the Omni PC medium spinner that I purchased recently. I am a long-time supporter of Samsonite and have always trusted the brand for its durability and craftsmanship. However, on my very first use of the luggage, the handle broke, which has left me dissatisfied with the product.

Great Luggage for the Rugged Travels

I was on a long trip to Asia, and the luggage withstand multiple checks-in and rough terrains. I especially like the lock feature which allowed me to keep items locked in situations where there are no safe in rooms. There is plenty space to fit additional stuff brought back from trip. I only have samsonite luggages and they have held up well for over 10 years and would like to see how well this one would hold up.

Great bag. But, no tag?

I ordered the Omni PC Large Spinner on-line from Samsonite and received it promptly within 4 business days. The color is great and the smoothness of the casters is excellent. I used the bag the following week on a 2 week trip and was impressed with the stability of how the bag rolled as well as the very light weight. The only drawback is that there is no luggage tag or integrated tag holder in the design. I have never purchased a piece of luggage, in the past, that did not come with a good quality (if not matching) identification tag or some small compartments to hold an identification label.

Really liked the suitcase... until it broke

I was initially very excited about the this suitcase. I've had many Samsonite luggages before and never had a problem. This was my first hard shell one and at first look, I was happy. I loved the teal color, it seemed well made, study, and the lock mechanism was study and great as well. I went on an short international trip for business so I decided to take this one (first time using it). I filled up the zippered section with clothes and threw in shoes and toiletries in the open compartment. I didn't need to "expand" the suitcase and everything fit nicely. I got on and off taxi's easily, on and off a couple flight connections easily and the suitcase rolled very well. Wheels are smooth, doesn't tip or tilt. Overall, great experience heading to my destination.However, right as I lifted the strap, one side of it pops off. Not the extendable handle that you normally hold while pulling or pushing, the strap handle that's fixed to the suitcase itself. The suitcase doesn't have a side strap/handle and this was the only one. There was nothing I could do but hug the suitcase to get it in/out of the overhead bin since there's literally nowhere else to grab onto. I inspected it when I got home and the screw stripped out the plastic handle. I'm not sure if I just got a defective one or not. I do like the suitcase so I'm willing to give it another try and exchange it for the identical one, hoping I just got a dud.
