The Gallery of frames & art is totally focused on Samsung selling you expensive artwork. To get to your own photos & artwork you have to wait for advertised galleries to load and scroll eventually down to your own gallery. The controls over your own pictures/galleries are confusing, basic and very limited. Colour control of frames around pictures are extremely limited, with colour temperature matching of ambient light weak, almost to the point of useless. The feature to turn on/off the screen when human motion is detected just plain doesn't work no matter how you set it. Adding pictures via App or Gallery is downright confusing and amateurish. This could be a brilliant system if only they had put professional software writers onto designing the interface. Hardware ... I purchased this television in mid-June from the Samsung website, and it was delivered in good time in early July. I have been using this television for approximately a week and a half as of the time of this review. I find the television in general to be very good quality with good features for optimising its use for playing video games (the primary purpose I intend to use the television for), and I also appreciate the realistic simulation of a physical framed painting/photograph when in Art Mode. My one major complaint, though, is the Tizen operating system that the television uses. It has very limited applications available to it, and does not allow me to download any video calling applications other than Google Duo, which I use infrequently. As far as I am aware ... My one major complaint, though, is the Tizen operating system that the television uses. It has very limited applications available to it, and does not allow me to download any video calling applications other than Google Duo, which I use infrequently. As far as I am aware of, Tizen does not natively allow the installation of APK files for third-party applications not available on the Tizen App Store, and while I am attempting to find a workaround for this at the time of writing this review, it is highly disappointing that the ability to natively download third-party applications is so highly restricted. I would recommend at least that many, many more non-streaming applications should be added to the Tizen App Store, as while there are plenty of streaming applications available, there are virtually no other types of applications, such as productivity (e-mail viewers, word processors, etc.) or social (video calling, Text Chat, etc.) applications available for Tizen. Aside from this, I am generally happy with the quality of the television, though I would have much preferred it if all the advanced features (such as FreeSync and 200 Hz refresh rate) were also available on the smaller models of this television, as I purchased a screen size slightly larger than I would have otherwise preferred due to the fact that any television screen size smaller than 55 inches did not include these features.

I've owned the 65" 2022 for a month and a half. Here are my take aways as a photographer with a particular eye for image quality. - Beautiful 4k image with vibrant colours and brightness. Excels in this regard, and short of up close viewing is convincing as an artwork at a technical level. Read on however. - Matte finish is exceptional and makes the tv usable day and night in our lounge room. This feature alone is the most compelling thing about the frame over other qleds. - The viewing angle is utterly atrocious. Blacks turn to near purple at 30-40 degrees off centre, and saturation drops considerably, both vertically and horizontally. Blacks turn to near purple at 30-40 degrees off centre, and saturation drops considerably, both vertically and horizontally. This means mounting it at eye level as an artwork degrades blacks and colour for seated tv viewing, and the inverse is true if mounted low for improved quality for seated tv viewing. It's very, very far from believable as an artwork. This is so bad in fact that even when viewing an image dead on in the middle the colours and contrast are dropping away in the corners. Don't even get me started on how bad it is when approaching from the side. I think if the tv were in a spot in the room where you didn't have to walk past it, and if it was only used for artwork or tv alone the deficiencies could be worked around. - The grey and black uniformity when watching movies is worse than the 10 year old LCD TV it replaced. There are massive light splotches in the middle, sides and two corners, so much so that details in dimly lit scenes are darker than the splotches. If the camera pans at its like someone smeared @#*& all over the screen. The same is true of grey images, just with a different pattern. Then there are the super bright / discoloured vertical areas on the far left and right of the screen when viewing light grey images, i.e as a computer monitor. The only remedy for the poor uniformity is to turn the brightness down to around 20 (40%). It makes the defects less obvious but it's a very dim image then. - The ambient light sensor is insufficient at picking up subtle light changes in dim lighting, meaning the tv is always way too bright. The issue here is actually that in my lounge room the tv itself casts a shadow on the sensor and therefore is ineffective. Unfortunately the sensor is tucked away under the frame and can't be moved. This also breaks the believability of the screen as an artwork as it's just glaring all the time. Samsung don't allow you to control the brightness of the screen via IP either so I can't even build home automations to manage this externally. All in all, if you use it to display artwork in the background it's ok. If you use it for the kids to watch tv it's ok. If you're a photographer or an artist who has an eye for quality, stay very, very far away. It's just not there yet for artworks if you're serious. As a tv however if they actually release a version with local dimming like they falsely advertise this as having (they lie and say it has 'Supreme UHD dimming' which is just a marketing ploy) then it would at least help with their poor image uniformity issues and get it close to being a respectable tv. Needless to say I will be returning this tv and opting for an oled or qled with local dimming and foregoing the dedicated art mode... As it is it's a Jack of all trades and master of none, and you pay a premium for it. I wish I had actually looked at this in a store and not bought into the marketing hype. I should have known better.

I owned the 2021 Frame and loved it, sold it to get the 2022 because of the anti reflective coating... which to be fair is amazing. Although there are some major draw backs, the first 2022 I had for 1 week before noticing the really bad blooming and getting fed up with the laggy menus. In the menu you would press right, nothing would happen, then it would jump 5 to the right. So called Samsung and after 90 mins on the phone doing all the trouble shooting they say they will send a technician ... not replace it. So call JB and they helped out and replaced the TV with the same model. Checked the TV and again same issue, in fact almost identical blooming pattern. I checked through different sources, different content and it still appeared. Now I love the Frame and so I ... I checked through different sources, different content and it still appeared. Now I love the Frame and so I thought I would get the faulty panel replaced, so I call Samsung back and this time they have to escalate it to their "Head Technical" then they will contact me for "advanced troubleshooting" ... Unless there are secret up up down down left right codes on the remote I dont see how this will help. Also their SLA was 2 days!!! 2 days for someone to look at the photos of blooming I sent them. This indicates that in less than a week they have had a spike in blooming issues and are now trying to stem the tide of people requiring technical support, by introducing another troubleshooting step. In short the Samsung Frame 2022 has an issue with the screen blooming, the menu is much worse than the 2021, but the matt screen is amazing. I wish Samsung was resolving this in a better way I would keep my Frame, even with its laggy menu if they fixed the screen, but not willing to have a third Frame with a dodgy screen.
Our Samsung 50" plasma sadly bit the bullet after 14 years of service so a replacement was needed. Originally thinking we would try another brand we just kept coming back to Samsung. Choosing one was the hardest bit. We watch tv, movies and fast moving sport mostly so trying to find a balance which satisfied all of these viewing options was difficult. We discounted The Frame at first as we weren't fussed about the art element however when we reviewed the specs we realised it was the one that hit closest to the mark for our viewing habits. It was a bit more than we had wanted to pay however there were some good specials on at the time so we ended up jumping at it and paying that bit more than originally planned. It was a bit more than we had wanted to pay however there were some good specials on at the time so we ended up jumping at it and paying that bit more than originally planned. We have had the TV for two weeks now and we are very happy and so glad we went for a bit extra. Picture and sound quality is great and sport in HD is crystal clear with no motion blur. It was very easy to set up out of the box and comes with everything you need. The hub that comes with it is a great idea and I'm so surprised its not commonplace. There is some slight blooming on a dark screen but its not extreme and you really only notice it if you're looking for it. The matte screen is great too. We have the TV in a bright room with lots of windows and no matter how hard we try, we cannot see a reflection on the screen. We have even found ourselves using the art function even though we never thought we would. If you're thinking of getting this TV but are uncertain, I would suggest its highly unlikely you will be disappointed.
A good tv with some easily fixable software problems. This tv has all the bells I was looking for from specs point of view, the screen with its matte finish and the super slim wall mount are perfect. I knew the screen wasn't as punchy and vibrant as others on the market but the art mode and matte screen was my main attractions. However the TV is seriously in need of a firmware/software upgrade, the UI is slower than I was expecting for a TV at this price point (this might be more of a hardware issue). The slideshow feature needs to be added within art mode instead of needing to manually change art, say once a day or once a week would be a good start. Art mode should be a 'screen saver' option when using Audio only programs like spotify or DTV radio channels. The ... MoreA good tv with some easily fixable software problems. The motion and brightness sensors should work in all settings not just art mode (I have this on a 10+ year old sony tv which works flawlessly). Lastly movie mode is the only display setting I can find that doesn't have that soap opera look, which has significantly lower brightness, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to select a preferred frame rate. I guess I'm happy enough but want more samsung, you nailed the artwork look but crippled the implementation for all but a single piece of artwork
Hi I purchased two TV’s 50 inch and 65 inch. The 50 inch worked perfect but unfortunately the 65 inch had a fault it wouldn’t detect free to air channels. Please note both TV’ we’re just purchased new out the box and Samsung would not replace without coming out first to check on the fault. First option was to go through remote support which I did. Second option two techs came to the house and confirmed there was a genuine problem. Once this was confirmed I requested a replacement seeing as the item was brand new. To my dismay I was called the next day and told this was not possible and another technician would come to site and repair! I was very disappointed but just wanted the TV to work. So two days later now several days after my purchase another two technicians arrived and after some testing replaced the main board in the tv box which attaches to the TV. This did repair the fault and the TV now works fantastic. However, worth noting if you buy one you won’t get it replaced if it’s got a fault. By the way I also purchased a microwave at the same time which also has a fault with the door and guess what… it not getting replaced someone is coming to take it away for repair! Very disappointed Samsung but love the products when they work.
The Frame 75 inch 2022 came to replace my outgoing LG 60inch Plasma in our open living space. This is our main TV. We really love the fact that the picture quality is great and highly anti-reflective properties of this TV because that was always a problem previously. QLED is good and bright. Can get a bit too bright but this can be adjusted in the TV settings. Contrast is also nice and Blacks are great. The best viewing angle however is quite limited so if you are sitting in front of TV it's great. Move away around 40 degree or so and the pictures gets a bit hazy. Not too much of a complaint for the price point. The ART feature in the TV is great but mostly only really good if you do decide to mount the TV against the wall and have much love for paintings. It does the job for painting lovers I'm guessing. We were impressed by the art feature and may use it from time to time. The software on the TV is good and mostly fluid. Built in apps are great. The only issue I sometimes have is when the Google Chromecast is connected to it. The TV does not always turn off and stay OFF as one would expect. Sometimes the Chromecast software interferes with the Samsung OS to turn the TV back ON soon after turning it off. The workaround is to navigate out of Google Chromecast and browse other media or channels. A bit annoying. Otherwise the software is generally good and fairly intuitive. The remote is small, simple, premium looking and cool to hold and use. However I miss the number pad. The TV also comes with Samsung channels such as Bloomberg TV and heaps of others free which is great.
I was very sceptical about buying a Samsung TV as I have been a Sony Bravia advocate as far as I recall. When I was recommended the The Frame TV, I was very nervous about a number of features including the picture quality, sound and remote. I got to say that I’ve been blown away with the all three. I have a Sony Bravia 75in in my theatre and a 75in The Frame in my family room. The sound in the family room from The Frame TV really suits the room acoustic. In fact it Is better than the Sony. I was very surprised with remote. It was easy to work out and the size of the remote is perfect. The tech engineers have done an exceptional job. We love how close it sits on the wall hanger that is included, which is really smart. Our power point and Aerial port is behind the TV, which isn’t affecting the distance the TV sits from the wall. Well done, I think I am converted.
We wanted to upgrade to a larger TV, but didn't like the idea of a bog black hole on the wall when the device is off or, worse, the look of an altar in the lounge. The Frame is just perfect as an additional design feature on the wall, complementing our "real" artwork. The images are displayed really well, as the brightness of the matt screen is automatic adjusted, depending on the ambient light. It struggles a bit on a very bright sunny day, as our lounge consists mostly of windows. Still, the display is still the best we've had on a TV in that room-. Another feature I really liked is the fact that there is only one visible cable. While it is supposed to be "clear", is looks silvery, but still better than the black "cable salad" you usually get with a wall-mounted ... We bought the Frame as a combo with a Samsung soundbar Q700B. It works in concert with the TV's built-in speakers and makes a really nice surround sound. Great for watching and listening to concerts. All in all, we are very happy with out purchase.
